Signed Joakim Andersson re-signs, 2yrs, $1.465m ($732,500k cap hit)
DickieDunn replied to Ram's topic in General
It's hard to tell sometimes. There's a guy on rwc who honestly believes Sproul is already better than half the d-men in the NHL, Nyquist and Tatar are better than anyone on the team except Datsyuk and Zetterberg, and the average OHL player is better than most guys in the SEL. -

Are you serious with this crap? Emmerton is worse. Miller, Eaves and Tootoo are on about the same level. When healthy everyone else brings more to the table than Andersson does. -
Usually until the battery indicator is flashing red. Person below me wants to kick the originator of "Emdog" in the pills.
-
Emdog makes him sound like a failed white rapper. Dumbest damn nickname I've ever heard. Emmerton is the reserve forward. Most reserves get plenty of games in. He does nothing really well outside of his work ethic. If they can't trade someone else it makes absolutely no sense to waive someone else and get stuck with a big cap hit when they can dump him penalty free. Right now he's their 7th best center behind Datsyuk Zetterberg Weiss Helm Andersson and Abdelkader. Before they got Weiss and Andersson established himself he was #5. Now do you see why I'd say that?

If they keep Samuelsson Bertuzzi and Tootoo and waive Eaves and Emmerton they'll be under cap. -
Only way Eaves is back is if they trade 2 of Bertuzzi Samuelsson and Tootoo or trade one and send Nyquist to GR. Emmerton will only be back if they move a guy and they have questions about Helm.

I still think he's being told who to suspend and how long by his bosses.
-
It's not like they were playing him with 2 slugs 5 minutes a night. Nyquist, Andersson, and Brunner was a solid line and he was getting PP time. He needs to understand that he's not a star here like he was in Switzerland and he's not getting a guaranteed full time top 6 role unless he signs with some bottom feeder.

Well, we could be like NJ and do Konstantinov, Draper, Maltby, Holmstrom, Fedorov, Osgood, Vernon, McCarty, Chelios/Probert, Larionov, and Fetisov. Those guys were all in the same category as or more important than Daneyko.

Shanny was great. That's not enough in Detroit. Datsyuk should be the next.
-
1) It's not really that easy. 2) that takes one of the better d men off defense. 3) if it was such a great idea it would be done regularly
-
That's one of the dumbest lineups I've ever seen. You're making the best forward a checking line center and the vet defensive dman a checking line wing.
-
Just let our guys develop. Too many people act like these guys are as good as they'll ever be and need to be replaced. Quincey, Smith, Kindl, and Dekeyser are a pretty damn good 3-6 group. For forward, after Alfredsson retires Tatar or Nyquist will move up.
-
I don't think they're negotiating as much as telling him he can admit it or else. It's like a plea bargain in real courts.

I'm a second hand vegetarian. I only eat animals that eat plants. The person below me thinks fake boobs ate overrated.

First thing in the morning is apparently sometime after noon in IT geek language.

Who plays on the top line is pretty fluid. Fedorov, Shanahan, Hull, Draper, Maltby, and Zetterberg were the top 6 in terms of time on ice. Fedorov, Shanahan, Hull, Datsyuk, Larionov, and Zetterberg were the top 6 forwards by points.

Was it good for you? I could totally tell it was your first time.

Every major sports league in north America is like that. It protects the league and ensures that everyone is playing with the same rules, and it helps to limit the number of people who can't afford a team get one. Now, each perspective owner is checked out. Without the league having control of the member teams, anyone could own a team, move it on a whim, or 12 of the teams could just branch off with their players and form a new league. What happens if the other 5 original 6 teams plus Philly, Pit, the Isles, Caps, and Sabres get together then file a suit saying that because they have 5 original 6 teams and a bunch of the older expansion teams they have the right to the NHL name and Stanley Cup, and they win?
-
You seem to be operating under the premise that each team is an entity unto itself. They're not. It's more like one parent company owning 30 different restaurants. If only a few are stable the whole company will struggle. The owners don't really own the team, they pay for the right to use an NHL name and logo and to participate in the league while being allowed to run the team as they see fit within the league's rules and bylaws. That's why the league is running Phoenix and why they gave the Devils a bunch of cash this year. Otherwise a bunch of owners could say f off we're forming our own league with the players on our roster and the team names we have now.
-
How long are they suspended compared to a 4th line winger doing the same thing?

New NHL divisions, names, and playoff format

Yes they do, just not always at home. -
I've tried a couple, most are rip offs. Examiner.com pays though, but it's mostly driven by page views and there are rules to keep people from gaming the system to drive them up. When I was off with a back injury I ended up with about $50 a month there.

Yeah, because he's the only musician who has weed on his bus.
