Pettersson might be a good pick, but wiim is a glorified fan blog. The real scouting reports I've seen are good though. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

I'd actually be ok with it on second though. TANK IT BABY!!!!!!! Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

First, that won't be next year, even if they trade back where Kostin isn't a huge reach. Most of those kids aren't close to NHL ready. Second, big doesn't mean physical and hard to play against. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

He kind of is. He certainly didn't play like he was a #1 last year. In fact, he played a lot like #2, in more ways than one. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Sounds like insurance against losing someone to Vegas or a Mrazek flop Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

we need D more

Green is the only one, and he's best left for the deadline, assuming Holland doesn't decide to go full retard and extend him 3 more years because they're sitting in the 9th spot and are almost int he playoffs.

2017 ECSF Washington Caps vs. Pittsburgh Pens
DickieDunn replied to Datsyukian-Deke's topic in General
Niskanen had his hands directly in front of him about belly height. In what way is that a reckless high cross check? -
That kind of stuff only happens in video games

Unless Mrazek has a big season where he plays well the whole time, he's not getting close to $6 mil. If he has a repeat of the last year and a half, he'll be lucky to get a one year $2 mil deal as a backup.

The problem with "big guys" who are big at 17 or 18, most of them aren't big hitters because they don't need to be. They just out muscle everyone in juniors. Then you take a kid who's 6'0" or so, and he actually hits people. Once he gets to be 195 or 200 lbs, he becomes a wrecking ball. Borowiecki 6'1" Martin 6'3" Schenn 6'2" Gudas 6'0" Foligno 6-3 Larsson 6-3 Dubinsky 6-2 Ritchie 6-2 Emelin 6-2 Reaves 6-1 Wilson 6-4 Those are the top 11 hitters in the NHL this season. Mix between Europeans and North Americans, and other than Wilson the same height or shorter than guys people have argued are too small. It has nothing to do with height, it has everything to do with attitude.

Crosby has never been suspended, so he has no history of suspensions, so he never "deserves" one according to Uncle Gary. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk -

That was more Niskanen trying to brace against Crosby sliding into him than anything else. Bad result, but I can't see any malicious intent there. If he gets suspended, it'll only be because Uncle Gary's Golden Boy got hurt on the play. Anyone else is hurt like that and he probably doesn't even get the game. -
I wonder if they'd be too small if they were from Saskatoon or Hamilton? Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Exactly how I feel when people argue a kid 6' or 6'3" is too small Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

You're right. No guys who are 6' tall. Even if they get up to 200 lbs. they'll be soft like Konstantinov, Ott, or Kronwall. We need big bodies like Sheahan to toughen the team up. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Hoarder Holland values depth too much Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

A worse record gives you a better chance at a top 3 pick. Tanking is a little more of a risk now, but still better than picking 12-16 every year. Petterson has the frame to be a big boy. Necas should be able to get up to 195 or so, that's plenty big enough. Remember, Kronwall was something like 165 and considered to be too small. When I was 18 I weighed 145, when I was in peak shape, I was at 195.

Keep dreaming. First, nobody would want them, and second Holland won't trade them. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

You think Holland would trade him as a salary dump? Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Why? Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Larkin and AA both started as centers. Their d prospect depth is as empty as center depth. Both are needed Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Players outside the top 2 or 3 rarely contribute much immediately. This sin't the NFL where they come in after playing 3 or 4 years of college ball. These are 18 and 19 year old kids who need to get stronger and work on their game before they're close to NHL ready.
