Taking the 20th ranked player at 10 is a good way to throw away a top 10 pick. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

The longer Babcock was here and the more people said he was great, the bigger his ego got. How many guys did they bring in, have Babcock gush over them, then get used as 4th line/3rd pair guys or spare parts? Once he decided what a player was, that was it. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Crosby is a dirty nut punching d bag of the highest order and he runs away like a scared bunny if anyone close to his size wants a piece of him. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

So the xenophobic Don Cherry wannabe dinosaur part is right, but not the jobs part. Gotcha Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Or he becomes a ufa and picks his team. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk -
So you didn't say what you said? Or you're admitting to being xenophobic? Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

If rink size was the issue you wouldn't have excluded Americans or Europeans who played juniors in North America. You're just acting like another xenophobic Don Cherry Wannabe dinosaur crying that the pansy Euro players are taking the jobs away. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

And it's stupid. But it works for some fans who would rather see a roster full of home town kids, or "good old Canadian boys" for that matter. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

The idea that a player is going to be better because of where he's from is ludicrous. Best player available. If it's close between two guys, go for the bigger player and position of need. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

The question is, SHOULD the goal be playoffs, or should they go with a full blown youth movement and let Larkin, AA and Mantha lead the team forward, win or lose? Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Draper wasn't a fighter at all. LePew would have killed him. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

And now people are satisfied with making the playoffs and almost winning a round. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

He won some fights, but not against many real fighters his size. He mostly went after smaller guys. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Regardless of the odds of say, the 20th overall pick, has of producing a high end player, teams still value that pick more than a known quantity like Nyquist, Tatar, or Dekeyser. Therefore even though that pick has a decent chance of never being as good as one of those 3, teams are unlikely to trade the pick for one of those players. It's the same logic that made Sproul "untouchable" when he was in juniors and Nyquist and Tatar when they were in GR. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

What makes you think someone would give up a first round pick for any of them? I already explained why they should probably keep him, unless it's part of a trade to improve the defense. If they can get a top pair D so he's not the default #1 guy and he could play a role he's more suited to play, he'd be better. He's not significant;y overpaid, either. There are much worse contracts that need to be moved before that. Ken Holland /ownership won't let the team tank. Personally, I'd be fine with moving any and all players over the age of 27 who they can get a decent return for, and just dumping Abdelkader, Helm, and Glendening for a broken stick. It's not happening though, which means Dekeyser isn't going anywhere. The way his knee is, I don't think it's a stretch to think he could qualify.
-
And Holland can't get anyone better, so they're stuck playing as the top pair. Dumping Either of them without bringing in a better player isn't going to help, unless your goal is to be a cellar dweller next year.
-
Because of his contract there would be limited suitors, and he wouldn't be easily replaced immediately. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

They really aren't that far off. A coach who gets his players to play to their ability and has a system that works and one top pair D and they should be a playoff team. Of course, stinking for another year or two for the draft picks might be a good idea. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Why do so many people want to dump Dekeyser? He's having a bad year, but so are most of the players. A real coach and a top pair D so he has more help and he probably looks a lot better. Maybe still overpaid, but not drastically so. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Yeah, LePuke wanted to fight a guy who didn't fight much. Instead McCarty KOed the POS with the first shot then kept pounding on him. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk

Anyone know if they have clips posted of the between period interviews so I can shut this jackass up? Larkin said it in one of those, and I know he's just going to say something along the lines of "link or it's not true."

The funny thing is that the NHL basically told the Wings to take care of Lemieux themselves because they weren't going to suspend him. If they had, or if Lemieux had appologized instead of telling Draper that he made Draper a household name so he should thank him, McCarty probably never jumps Lemieux.

Larkin, AA, Mantha, Svechnikov are a good base for a future forward unit. Add in Smith and a free agent and they're good to go. Defense is far and away a bigger need, unfortunately I don't think there's any D worth a top 5 pick. If they can get a top end D under 25 years old for their #1 this year I think they need to seriously consider it. Sent from my LGLS676 using Tapatalk
