They get half of the hockey related revenue. Inflatingsalaries is meaningless if that doesn't increase because they don't get escrow money back. A $4 mil contract might end up paying $3.75 mil.

Jurco spent a lot of his time with plugs like Glendening and Miller. Any say he had a chance. When we was with skilled plauers, it usually never lasted a full game. Maybe he's just not doing what he's told. -

Put it this way, you're the GM in Carolina. What's more important, squeezing Holland for what you can get, and adding a player that could help your team, or being nice so he likes you. -

Take a guess and state it as fact, giving yourself some wiggle room in case you're wrong. I you guess right, you brah that you "knew it." If you guess wrong, you say that talks broke down, or another team came in with a better offer at the last minute. -

Too slow to be cery effective, but mightbe oj as a reserve -
Stamkos at anything close to reasonable. Backes for 4 years or less. There are a few other guys who could bring some size and toughness and not just be punchers if they signed for a shorter term deal. On defense, get a real legit top pair guy or go with what they have. We don't need another #4 caliber D.

Go big and get a high end player or stand pat and go with youth. No more mid level vets.

He wasn't a strong 2nd/3rd center last year. He will be worse next year. Too old and too slow. Virtually any young player playing in his place would be as good or better.

You say you want Richards but not others because they're too old and worthless in the same post. If you want Richards back at any price you're ok with old and useless.

So they can't get better at faceoffs? Glendening went from putrid to good in one offseason, I'm sure AA and Larkin can be at least adequate with a little work.

He had 15 goals in his last 80 games. He's had one 20 goal season. He's not a goal scorer. He's not a top 6 caliber center. Saying those things are true doesn't make it true.

Abdelkader arguably isn't even a decent top 6 wing, there's no way he could handle center outside of a checking role. The only reason he's even adequate as a scoring line winger is his willingness to hit and go to the dirty areas.

Abdelkader isn't nearly skilled enough to center a scoring line. AA and Larkin at center will mean growing pains, but one or both gave to be top end centers if this team has any chance of not being terrible in the next few years. Both are natural centers and both gave more skill than Abdelkader. Sink or swim time.
