Be mad.Be worried. And tell us about it, go into detail if you need to get it off your chest, rant and rave about the team. People will talk about it with you, there's a lot of people worried too. But you're talking down to people constantly, like they're below you, responding to their opinions trying to demean their perspective because its not yours. And I don't like it. What's worse is you're not even properly responding to them. I don't known if you're not actually reading what theyre saying or if youre just not comprehending it but seriously, every single comment you've posted lately in response to someone is condescending and completely unnecessary. Feel like people are ganging up on you? Maybe try not acting like you're smarter than them because they're not freaking out like you. Also I said let them compete for the job, not arbitrarily choose one. The one who's going to give the team the best chance at winning is the one that needs to start. Right now we don't know which one that is, and just picking one out of a hat takes us backwards, not forward. And I would go look up all the times coaches say "we gotta go through the tapes and see what they were doing in detail, blahblahblah," but you strike me as a person who just puts his fingers in his ears when you get proved wrong anyway. Its good you're a huge fan. But so is everyone else here. And they deserve some semblance of your respect when you talk to them.

We've been spoiled with amazing players, for sure.And I'm sure well see white a few different line combinations while blash tries to find the best lineup, I just want Larkin to soak up everything he can from the two.

1. Re-read what she said, and before jumping to irrational hostility because you think she called you out, think about it. She didn't say that she wants them to suck, she said she'd rather them suck than not have the balls to try and get better. Babs wasn't taking us to the next level, we moved on and were going with blash. I get that you think that he's the common denominator in the problems with the team, but what do you suggest. firing the guy after 10 games? Then who are you gonna bring in to coach? What's going to happen at the twenty game mark when that doesnt work? Fire him too? Keep running through the Rolodex of coaches that are okay with having to make the team a contender within ten games or be fired? Have some resolve man, when things don't go your way you don't throw in the towel and move onto the next thing. This is the Detroit red wings, have a little faith. 2. Yes. Plenty more. Hockey is a complex game, you can call them excuses if you'd like, but fine. They're excuses. What's the reason for the current play? Since you're going to say Blashill, fine. Its all Jeff Blashill. Once again, how do you suggest the person we bring in fix the problem? Prepare the team better during the 3 days off before your next game. Cool. Go through the tape with them, run them through it in practice, apply it in game. It needs tweaking? You have three more days, and now you can't skate them as hard because you don't want them to have dead legs for the back to backs. 3. Yeah, Howard played great. But the last game they played was with Mrazek in net, And his puck handling does change the way you execute the break out of your zone. Its not that howards way is worse, but it is different, so add that to the list of tweaks you have to make. Blash needs to stick with a goalie for now and play him when the games are spaced out, that way you get a rhythm, but he's a new coach, and there is a legitimate competition for the number one spot. So do you choose one over the other, or do you stick to your guns and let them actually have a fair chance at the #1 spot? Is that an excuse, or should he actually wait it out and see who gives the team the best chance? Argue that blash needs to just choose one and stick with it like babs would do, (the tie goes to the vet) Would that be the best decision for the team or would you rather us make the right changes to get us over the hump? 4. You're correct, rocket science is exact. And There is no formula for a successful team. But when the rockets are unsuccessful engineers don't consider it an excuse to throw away the blueprints, they take the steps to fix the problems. 5. If our biggest problem going forward is how to play the Ottawa senators two nights in a row then you might have a point, but the goal is to take the team the team Babcock hasn't gotten out of the second round with since 2009 to the next level. Also once again, think about what was said instead of just jumping on it because you think its against what you believe. "Not only are we tired for the 2nd game, it also takes away the time to watch tape on the upcoming team and the time to correct mistakes in practice from the previous game." We've had back to backs followed by games three days apart, and only once has that schedule deviated down to two games between. Even if you do all the prep work and practicing to fix the problems you still have to apply it to a game to see how it works. So then you have to go through the whole process over again, but now you can't practice it without risking tiring their legs out for the upcoming back to back games. The schedule is essentially limiting Blashill to one game a week to properly prepare changes to make the team better. Mike Babcock, widely considered to be one of, if not the best coach in hockey only got one cup with a team that had lidstrom, PEAK datsyuk,zetterberg, and Franzen as well as a laundry list of ridiculously talented and varied depth behind them. This team needs to be better than it has been, because making the playoffs is a high priority. But we need to make it past the second round, because that's been mediocre for the wings for a while now, and since when did wings fans become accepting of mediocrity?

. I can't wait to see him back on the ice. Hes probably one of the smartest players to ever play the game, and hell help calm the team down... I love z as a captain, he's literally doing everything he possibly can every night, even to the point of throwing his body around which is crazy, but I always kind of looked at the c as being shared with him and Pavel. Pav doesn't speak the best English, so z was kind of the obvious choice to wear it, but they compliment each other amazingly well. Z shows you what to do, pav shows you how to do it.

Um.Honestly I think we were just dealt a bad hand. The gaps in between games, followed by having to play back to back isn't really the best environment to get yourself back up to game speed. And its not like Blashill can run them through drills in practice with any kind of pace to simulate the game. If he did they'd be dead by the second period of the second game. And I'm sure there's a Snowball effect from all the other problems they're having on the ice, low confidence, frustration, new coaches for almost everything... Thems just the cards sometimes.

If you're used to setting up in a breakout initiated by your goalie, the patterns are completely different then having to sweep down low to support the passes out from behind the net. Its not the hardest thing in the world to look back and see if the defenseman are coming up the walls, waiting in the corners, or setting up from behind the net but imagine nothing is going your way, you're constantly being moved to a new position with different linemates and different responsibilities, and every other game the whole transitioning system is completely different depending on the goalie that's in net. Now remember that the schedule is set up to where you're not playing for 3 days in a row, then there's two games back to back, and the designed plays for transitioning are generally different then it was the night before. You can't get into a groove like that, at least I couldn't. Yeah, I can look and figure it out quickly enough, but you shouldn't have to think about those things. Its hard to stick with one goalie when you're constantly playing back to back, followed by a fairly long break. Rhythm of these things matter, a lot. Were just kind of stuck in a bad way right now, because we can't just change the schedule. Its the only reason I'm not really worried, I'm just kind of waiting.

I don't know how to get in touch with that atlas dude, but he used to stop this from happening.

20 games, if after 20 games theyre still not playing well then we could be in trouble. But until then, things have to get sorted out, I didn't imagine Blashill would be throwing out random lines all night but I don't think it will last. Every time they show him on the bench he has the stoic look on his face, but tinkering so much kinda seems like a panic move, and I think its been passed down to the players. Theyre going to have to get it sorted out, for sure because there was some genuinely baffling plays made today. Even Dekeyser seemed rushed, and shaky, which is odd, but I don't see it lasting unless the leadership group suddenly stopped caring, which I doubt they have. And a lack of scoring at 5on5 is not a reason to blame your 4th line defensive forwards, that's on the top 9. And quite a few times out there, the fourth line looked good in the offensive zone. But even they're getting frustrated with each other, you could audibly hear miller yell at Glendenning to look next time he went to throw the puck up the ice. Things aren't going the teams way and its getting to them. It happens. They got hot in the preseason and now they're cold. Ha. Also, remember that this schedule is crazy. I've never seen a team have to play so many back to backs with a gap in between the next game, then another gap, then another back to back. Its crazy.

I think its completely plausible that he is that far out of game shape, he didn't get through one full day of training camp. Concussion stuff is tricky, you can't really exercise hard enough to keep yourself in game shape.

Every year we seem to go through a ten or so game stretch where literally nothing goes our way, and we start playing poorly because of it. I'm optimistic that its a good sign that were getting it out of the way early in the year instead of at the end of the season/start of the playoffs.
