it sounds like you're describing assault. That is generally what happens when you assault someone. Sakic, Roy, forsberg are the only names I've seen...I imagine they're still checking to see who wants to, who can, who can't etc.etc.

I seen aa play a few years back when he was in barrie and was really impressed with him, started looking for talk on him which led me to this site. -
He's so big, he has to become an all star.

Norris made his first start for the tigers today. He only allowed one run, and made a realgud diving catch on a bunt... he seems like he's going to be pretty damn good. -
Who is the better player Zetterberg or Toews. Prime vs. Present
jimmyemeryhunter replied to kickazz's topic in General
What do you mean he never had the skill toews had? Z in his prime was putting up around 90 points, Toews has never even had one season as a ppg player, and probably never will. -

Captain slew-Rios.And that dive in front of the net. Oh my was that good z. If Z is healthy, I take him. -
Fetisov is now proposing that the khl block russians from coming to the NHL at any age. http://www.mlive.com/redwings/index.ssf/2015/07/former_red_wings_defenseman_sl.html Dudes crazy... All of the hits to the head he sustained over his playing career must be catching up to him.

Who is the better player Zetterberg or Toews. Prime vs. Present
jimmyemeryhunter replied to kickazz's topic in General
I'm a bit mixed on my feeling as of now... In a 7 game playoff series, today, if Hank is healthy I take him. Putting aside the arguments of each ones playoff production the last few years, or career ppg, the series two years back is a pretty good indicator of what you'd get. And Toews was throwing a temper tantrum like he was Sidney Crosby. Didn't he take like three consecutive penalties because of the way z was on him? A healthy Zetterberg in the playoffs is a beast, but theres still no way of knowing how his back will hold up, or whether he can stay upright throughout a full season without draining himself, so you gotta pick Toews. Prime vs prime shouldn't even be a question as of right now though. Z in his prime was on a completely different level than Toews is, on top of being equal to or better in the d zone, his offense was also elite. The only way this becomes a discussion is if Toews maintains his defensive play, scores enough points in the coming years to equal that of a $10,500,000 player, which I don't see happening. Add to that, that he would also have to start spending a lot more time on the penalty kill like z did in his prime. I could see Toews MAYBE scoring at a better rate than last season, as scoring was down league wide, but not enough to make him comparable to how dominant z was offensively. -
Jonathan Quick on snipers, including Datsyuk
jimmyemeryhunter replied to haroldsnepsts's topic in General
I prefer datsyuks backhand to zs, I consider them at or around the same level in accuracy and speed, and they both have an incredible awareness of where the corners of the net are without looking up.But Datsyuks release mannn. It's just so damn beautiful. Quick described it quite well in the article, but When he comes up the wing and cuts into the slot, the position his body is in looks like he's about to shoot it forehand 160ft down the ice towards his own goal. There's no logical reason for his shots to be that accurate from that far out without taking the time to set his hands up. I can't remember who it was against or I'd search it up on YouTube, but when they slowed it down he didn't pull his blade back to aim the shot until after the puck was leaving his stick. In the time it took the puck to get from heel to toe he rolled his hands quick enough to aim. Its insane. -
I think tats will be the better goal scorer on a year to year basis, but overall I'd say Nyquist. He's a bit better positionally in the d zone, add to that the fact that tunar has a tendency to take risks in transition that I wish Nyquist would try a bit more. Tatars the better stick handler, but nikes got that simple yet effective handle that I think would make him really lethal if he held onto the puck more, especially when entering the offensive zone... I wish Nyquist had Tatars confidence though, that would be amazing.

I honestly think Crosby's backhand may be better, I dislike him, but its pretty damn good. Datsyuk is definitely up there though, and he gets it off so ridiculously quick...Its beautiful. -
You're not alone...He came into the league, tore it up immediately and didn't look like he was at the same level post injury. His resume up to this point is pretty incredible, I just don't see him replicating it. He's going to get his huge deal, because he's still so young, but I think he peaked really early and is going to settle back down Around or just below a ppg for the next five years, if his leg doesn't hamper him going forward. Which isn't bad at all, that's still really damn good, just not elite like he once was.

I was hoping that wed trade price and cespedes both this year, then re-sign them in the off season once they're ufas, if cespedes leaves we still have a good chance at bringing him back because he likes being here with miggy, but apparently the talks between the tigers and prices agent weren't even close during spring training when they tried to extend. -

Its looking like yoenis cespedes is going to be dealt too, mets are apparently making a big push for him. -
Toews on ice play isn't top 5 to me, but given all that he brings to a team makes up for his lack of elite offensive skill. And agreed on kopitar being a bigger Bergeron, but I still think hell take around 9. If he makes it to UFA, I'd loveeeee for the wings to push for him. And stamkos had a down year and still put up 70+ points, plus he's only 25, but with his leg injury and his play seeming to be at a lower level since the injury, I could see him and his agent trying to get as much as possible just in case he falls off a cliff or injuries end up biting him. I know it was a freak leg injury, but you don't break a bone that bad without weakening the surrounding structure. I kind of hope he goes to Toronto though, leave Steve yzerman with cap space and he he has two number one centers right now...let them get their cup out of the way then have to pay all the rfas so they can level out again... And Toronto would ruin stamkos, which is why Im cool with him going there. He is still young though... As long as he stays healthy he should be alright, the contract is still pretty crazy, but hes important to their future.

I looked price before we got him, but I didn't realize how dominant he consistently is until he came to the tigers. Its rare for the guy to throw less than 8innings. He's amazing, you got yourself a good pitcher, and I hope he gets himself a ring. The jays definitely seemed prime for a good run at it. -
For some reason I see kopi taking a bit less...He's seems like more of a big picture guy.
