Franzen isn't going to cause us to lose any kids, if he can't play very much this season, he'll go back on ltir and problem solved. Moving him would be stupid because on top of the fact that we'd have to package something decent with him to get someone to take him there's also the chance he doesn't want to sit on ltir for another team and he retires and we're stuck with the recapture for him. He's been a lifelong wing, so keeping his cap hit off our books isn't a problem as long as he's here. Teams around the league are finally realizing how vital two way play is. Especially in the playoffs, and these guys are going to start getting paid like they higher end offensive guys have historically been over paid. I don't think he's worth that much now but with the cap continuously rising were going to see more and more guys with cap hits over 10m, and after a few years, as long as he continues to play well, and develops a bit more offensive punch, hell be a bargain.
