Wings sign Brad Richards 1 yr, $3 million

That still doesn't make them throw their fists harder. And theyre Always whining and crying when stuff doesn't go their way...Plus the whole crawling thing doesn't lend itself to being a great skater. BTW... I actually really like this deal. I didn't at first, but the thought of Richards feeding pucks to pulks is getting me excited. Richards may not be as fleet of foot, or as creative as he once was, but he's still a really good playmaker.

Red Wings sign D Mike Green (3-years, $18-million)

Ha.You have no idea how happy I would be to have kopitar, he is one of my favorite players not on the wings. He's amazeballs. I highly doubt he leaves l.a. I see them doing whatever they have to do to keep him, including buying out or retaining a bunch of money on brown, not re-signing lucic.(even though they just gave up quite a bit to get him) L.A. has a few players on the team that I've always liked... I really like Dwight kings style, and its always amused me that his last name is king playing for the kings ( I'm easily amused), and I've always really liked Jeff Carter... but getting kopitar would be crazy...

I never understood that narrative, Suter&parise went to minny because they wanted to play together, every time someone brings up suter and/or parise as evidence that we can't attract free agents I get a bit annoyed.Also. I like that last part.

    Saad traded to Columbus

If he does we can always offer sheet tarasenko, I guess. And trade him nyquist for a big fast 2/3c, plus an a prospect and a pick. Which isn't horrible... We basically get back what we give up for then offer sheet we give tank. Cuz its not like wed get all that for the picks wed give up anyway.

Things you would like to see for 2015-16 Season

In a vacuum, that's around what our lines should look like...My only objection would be, is that pulcannon being fed by Richards would be a beautiful, beautiful thing. I fully expect the rejuvenation of Jurco with Blashill as the coach though, Jurco has great tools and the toolbox to carry it and blash knows the job site where those instruments are needed. I could honestly see Jurco becoming the hossa lite he was expected to be under blash. But at this point I see Jurco as a less developed more skilled version of abdelkader... abbeys better defensively too right now, but that could change. I still think If Jurco could take face offs at ~48% he could be a great center. Helm Glendenning abs as our fourth line wouldnt be the second coming of the grind line though, they'd be much more well rounded. Like if he malt by and McCarty all had drapers speed. It would however, Shelter Larkin enough that it may be a feasible line up. You could roll all four of those lines without having to do much up keep and they would get it done. Which is the hallmark of an amazing team. If Blashill comes into the season opener with these lines, I'll be ecstatic.

Things you would like to see for 2015-16 Season

My problems with the d core, is we seriously have no idea how well the "offensive defenseman" we have will fare under blashill, because they were forced into playing babcocks structure, which was stifling to offense from the back end. So we essentially have to wipe the slate clean on kindl/smith who have both shown flashes of top four play. The coaching staff now has to evaluate what it has in a small enough time frame, to be able to give the front office a reasonable window to trade/move those who don't fit the plan, and bring up the next wave of guys who are out of waiver options after the upcoming season, and similarly evaluate them. As for the prospects, next year q won't(or at least shouldn't be) re-signed and xo/marchenko both will not be lost to waivers, even if that means cutting another player, or more favorably one earns a top six spot this year, and the other is used as the 7th d man and will have to work his way into the active list ala tats.(albeit with much less opportunities as working into the forward corps) Jensen could PROBABLY pass through waivers without being claimed, although I suspect the reason he hasn't been given his cup of coffee already is because if they keep him more or less hidden, he'll receive less interest if indeed we do need to waive him. He may not be the most highly touted guy, you rarely ever here him praised. But hes got "stupid speed" which in today's game is an invaluable commodity. He would fit in beautifully with the make-up of this teams future, speed kills. Darren helm has fourth line hands, but scores like a high end 3rd/low end 2nd just because his speed affords him so many damn opportunities it's mathematically impossible for him not to get lucky enough to carve out a career as "one of the best 3rd line centers in the league." I don't know for sure, so correct me if I'm wrong, but Sprouls waiver exemption is also done after this season. Which could be a problem, since he has the highest upside of the lot, but the furthest to go to get there. Hopefully, Todd Nelson is as good at developing d as is advertised and Sproul can make enough progress to make the lowest guy on the totem pole expendable(after all is figured out) Or does Sproul have another year of waiver exemption after this one? Either way, he needs to get his cabbage together. Blashill's got a lot to sort out.

    Depth chart for RW/Griffins

Jakub kindl, top pairing defenseman(ha) playing so little, he's barely an nhl-er.

Ericsson gets too much flak. He'll never be the best #2 guy in the league, but he's solid. I think Last year was a bit of a write off because of his hand/finger injury. Anytime he gets brought up by other fans, they rave about him... the hardest part about trading him would be him waiving the Ntc(that I'm not 100% sure he has, I'm just assuming) He's a top four defenseman on practically every team in the league, if we make a move to where he ends up on the bottom pair playing next to a kid, we'd have a great defensive committee. I'm real curious to see how things shake out, it does seem like a trade is almost a necessity at this point.

    Saad traded to Columbus

If eichel scores 70+points in any of his entry level years, he will most likely get Toews money, more if the cap raises significantly in those years.

I imagine well see a rotation of guys during preseason/start of the regular season, so blash can see what he has and what he wants to do going forward, then a trade would probably be made.We have too many defenseman, and a log jam of forwards, so a move has to be made sooner or later.

    Retire Sergei Fedorov’s Jersey Immediately

As long as we don't get bounced in the first round(or worse) the remainder of his career, I think hell get it.

    The person below me game...

I am excites for mike green, I'm hoping his defensive issues are overblown, and that he scores 30 goals for us. The person below me wishes they would have kept Weiss over Richards.

    Retire Sergei Fedorov’s Jersey Immediately

I completely agree about it solidifying #13, and I don't see z not breaking that record, and when he does you almost have to retire #41* too...The c on his sweater helps his case as well. Edit. meant #40. But will leave this on the off chance that Disney becomes a franchise center and has his jersey in the rafters.
