I want Bashill to come in and make some crazy changes. Not crazy like making Mrazek our #1d, but maybe having Nyquist switch on and off with z at center, stretch zs health out, and teach nyq center slowly at the NHL level so his d picks up. Keep athanasiou or nosek up and let them try centering the fourth line.

I feel like I'm one of about three people who actually stick up for him every time he comes up. He still scores more than Jurco. Which kinda seems like his replacement. Blash should teach Jurco to be a center too. Franzen was actually really damn useful. Didn't he used to penalty kill too?

I want him to sit out until he no longer has concussion symptoms. Then be back on the on the ice just after 50% through the season, and get back into gameshape just in time to go crazy in the playoffs. Boom, perfect plan.

My brain still tells me to hate the blackhawks, but its mostly for reasons that no longer exist.I mean I hate a few of their players, but I can say that for just about every team in the league. There was such a long period of time, basically all my life, where its been engrained in my soul to effin hate them. HATE. Them. which I'm trying my damndest to get out of my head, simply for the reasons you mentioned. Its just so hard man. I dont have the ability to clear my opinions of them that fast, kudos to you for being able to. Aside from them not being in our division, conference, whatever, I want to be able to put that hatred towards another team. Chicago was my de facto hatred after the Colorado rivalry ended, and now I'm trying to shift it towards another item in our division... Boston is a good choice, but chances are they're gonna fall off now anyways, so I'm trying to build up animosity toward Tampa and montreal(mostly Tampa) but even after our series against em, is kinda hard to do. Another thing I'm having difficulty with, but honestly, this whole realignment screwed me up with the whole alliances things. I used to be able to root for Tampa, and Washington after the wings were out. Now I'm used to hating those teams mid season, but It'll probably take me a few years and I'll be able to have no resentment towards Chicago. In the postseason of course. Until they meet the wings in the finals. Which I want to happen with everything that's in me already. Ha

Rangers. I want the wings to come out of the east next year, without a doubt, but I kind of want rangers to go to the finals 4 years straight and not win. It'd be better if it was buffalo, but well cross that bridge when the egg starts to hatch... It can be a new York thing.

I like Tokyo in 5.And if ken Holland does nothing this off season but let the kids come in and take a bigger role, then it will most likely be to see what blashill does. If he does nothing next off season, we won the Stanley cup, or its his fault. But still. He is the reason why we've been successful for the last 20 odd years or so, so he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

Come on man, you asked him to provide you with a link on where scouts said that about him, and he did. He didn't cherry pick those, that was the talk on him in his draft year, what he was supposedly going to work on, and what he himself said he wants to dispel during his last qmjhl season. Once the player gets to grand rapids, we don't hear much about him unless he's doing amazing, or doing horrible. If someone were to call out his work ethic halfway through the season, his broken leg could be pointed to as a reason he wasn't in game shape. There's been lots of talk of him being a floater, that doesn't mean were calling him a bust, or giving up on him, its just how it is.

I wouldn't mind having him back on the team, but I don't want to seen him showing up to red wings alumni games in the future and not knowing where he is. If he can come back and safely play the game, Sure. But honestly, him being able to help raise his kids, and being able to go through a day without getting depressed is higher on the list for me than watching him play hockey again.

I can't see him scoring less than a 15 goals a year in the NHL.So A relatively decent third line winger/pp specialist. which is also what I think pulks will be.

I don't see ovi becoming defensive enough to hurt his goal numbers.He has a great shot and he's an amazing skater, so even if he does play a two way game he should still be able to get his goals. I thought he would score significantly less after they changed coaches, he used to play the entire power play almost every time they had one.

They're wildly inconsistent. Bullpens better than I thought it would be, but everything else is worse. They need to hit a stride or else the playoffs will be short for them.

The better team won, Chicago was lucky to tie it. Anaheims one win away from the scf.

If he scores a ppg during these playoffs and has a big role in them winning the championship, what do you think his chances are of making the wings roster out of camp? Or do you think they'll keep him in grand rapids regardless?

Ha. IF they were, then absolutely.But we don't have the luxury of drafting that kind of talent. We seem reliant on them working hard, to me.

I'm not a huge fan of the death penalty, but sometimes, it seems necessary.

Its not really about him being more vocal than those guys, its more about play styles Idk. Maybe he would be great here, it would be a change of pace from what were used to which could be good in the locker room. I just don't want younger players thinking they can get away with the things he does.
