[now, this is confusing, word ´možno´ could be translated easily as standard ´maybe´ , but it´s possible to translate as perhaps, possibly, supposedly, may gm blabla.. and what I´m saying is, that it this case, he´s not saying just maybe, word ´možno´ has more positive connotation, I´d go with ´perhaps´] (3) I was thinking about that a lot of times, mostly after the last season, when I was not satisfied in Detroit. [you can translate ´Sám som o tom veľakrát premýšľal´ few different ways, google is saying: "I myself often thinking about it", but in general, this slovak statement is somewhere in the middle between ´I was thinking.. ´ and ´I was considering..´. Nothing to comment there but DeKe - he should get some muscles in post-seasoon, he´s too easy to beat. I can see a major difference between him and XO, who´s obviously in excelent physical shape and I can´t really remember single one battle he lost.

Anyway, since next season, I´d consider also Franzen´s contract to be traded. It´s nearly 4M hit (and his wage partialy covered by insurance), maybe Arizona will search for next Pronger&Dacjuk, also Doan´s 5M won´t happen next year.

By the way, Vanek is top league player in p/60, ranked second I believe...

Hope it´s going to be THE game for Mrazek. The opposite one from last year 6:5 win against Ruins, which started Mraz´s descent.

Quite curious if Blashill is going to restart Helm together with Vanek and Nyquist line... For sure Miller is odd man out, worst player there so far.

Habs didn´t show them up, only Pac´s line with Radulov made some noise, mostly because matching up against Miller´s ´keep it in the corner´ line, but not really interesting game except last two minutes for Jared ).. D was pretty good, good game for Jensen, XO, not bad game for DD, not the best game for Green..

I´m czech, so I can clearly understand what he´s saying in slovak language, that´s not an issue. Bigger issue for me is to present in english and yes, it´s little bit tricky, there are some major cultural differences when trying to understand real meaning when speaking to slovak or americans, you can trust me, I´ve got nice experience with that - it´s very tough to explain to North Americans the real meaning of eastern european words (well, I´d rather to call it central european instead, while CZ/SK area is not really eastern europe, but nevermind that) - language and it´s philosophy it´s very different, so as the way how eastern europeans are answering on hard and personal questions. And this is the example of Tomas´s answers. I know, that he´s not 100% honest and he won´t say ´I WANT to leave´, he´s not saying it and he would deny this meaning if asked by american newspapers for sure. There is an other reason why I´m saying so - I don´t like this Tatar guy. I saw several interviews and videos with him and I don´t like his attitude, I believe he´s a man without sense for humility.. I don´t think that slovaks have blunt way of speaking in general, but Tatar has for sure. Worst example is vlog with some slovak youtuber who´s interviewing people while playing video games, and as far as it was with Tatar and it was in June (afaik), it was obvious to speak him while playing latest NHL 20xx game re-matching Tampa vs. Detroit. His quotes is something I for sure would NOT expect from well paid professional right after underperforming the whole season and kicked out from p-o like a kids. Tragedy. Or bad self-marketing. Or I don´t care. Yes, and this is the example. Bing is more accurate with words than me - it´s a machine - but this is the way how you can get lost in translation, because I (as a native speaker) can say you, he would use different set-up, if he would like to say something like "I can imagine a trade, because we sucked last two seasons and I´m afraid about our current situation". He´s using these words, but I don´t believe him. When asked on ´what´s wrong?´, he has NO answers, he doesn´t know... but when asked about a trade, he makes the whole paragraph of this. He has this option in his head and he has clear scenarions what will happen with HIM, but there´s not a single idea what´s with the TEAM. It´s very clear to me, actually. Still, you can´t expect NHL players to speak 100% truth even in local media (there are some nice excepts, like Milan Michalek when speaking about his Leafs mission, lol, or Plekanec - who is generally very kind and I like his attitude or the same with Fleischman). So you have to try to understand his words in context. But..sorry for a long text... - I do insist on my version and I´m saying this guy doesn´t care about Red Wings future and he´s prepared to #packhiss*** in a heartbeat.

Btw, european players (in my case czech and slovak) are imho way more honest when interviewed by local media.

The way how I do understand his answers in his mother language is "it´s not good, but I don´t care a lot". There are five questions about team results, p-o etc. and he´s saying just "it´s not good", not a single hint visible, which I´d definitely expect from team veteran who should be leading and holding the team banner in front line. Hard to say, even my boss is saying something like "it´s good strategy and it´s execution what gives your people motivation and encouraging them to maximum effort...".

I was considering just Ds. I was considering just Ds, not forwards (Fs are different story, I do believe the process is different and harder to uncover potential bust due to the role complexities). But I´d agree if somebody count meh Gudbranson in, btw. Well, 1st round pick isn´t a guarantee, you remember guys like Kindl.. or.. Smith(are we going to call him a long-term bust or what´s going to happen? I´m not far from that.), aren´t you? Xouly and Sprouly are fine, that´s for sure, but not top (anyway I can see very good way of XO, I just love his play). ..and here´s the point. 13 picks (and you´re considering TOP Ds by points) out of first round. Lot of notable Ds missing* *notable: I´m opening draft records randomly right now on ... 2010.. Faulk, Gudas.. slap in our face.. ok, try another.. 2007..let´s see.. Martinez, Muzzin..another slap, ouch!!! Not going to go deeper, it hurts! (Smith was our 27th OA there, btw). Well I can see what we´re not able to do - we´re not able to develop real D from lower positions, sound more like nearly everybody can. Not a good result for our scouting&development, right? So I´d rather do not count with this option. (I believe we´re speaking about Ds with some top 4 potential, right?) If it´s not clear (and I believe it´s not as usualy) from me: I can´t see the point for discussion here. We´re somehow failing even with top rounders (Smith, Kindl), our way with another guys like XO or Sproul is suspect. .. or shall we expect some magic miracle and expect we´re going to pick some gem in 6th round as we did in year 1349? (.. btw., I believe one of our current D prospect will emerge as top 2-3 D for us).

Well, but his (Larkin´s) speed is also more than 50% of his inefficiency, he´s oftenly driving out of positions just because of his high speed. Just add some EXPs and cool down his legs sometimes and he´ll be just fine. He´s still developing a lot. AA is imho better shooter from the point, btw. For the ´out of p-o´ topic, guys - do you realize that we´re actually 10pts from 2nd WC? Ok, stay cool, they say, there´s no SC in Dec, they say, follow the process, they say.. We´re not ok, it´s not only with Habs while Price isn´t going to cripple himself once again this year, there´s also Florida, even Tampa is out of p-o currently. I do expect Sens going down for sure, but this is still not enough and we can´t expect WC positions for this division.

From the other point of view, how much busts are there in first ten OA picks from last ten years? Two, maybe three? It´s secure and obvious way.
