I wouldn't really throw the Blues in that group. Their financial strategy was go big on Miller trade and hope a deep playoff run will bring in enough money to continue with the current roster. The ownership will not be able to afford this for very long if it is just Hitchcock playoff collapses year after year.

No. Never. Everytime it seems I watch highlights of Habs games he is the defenseman that blew it for the other team to score. I put him in the Barret Jackman category of "Never Do This On Defense."

Saint Louis fans now think with Elliot/Allen in net and the demand to get both Spezza and Stastny the Cup is theirs. I know it's not the water, because Saint Louis has one of the better water systems in the United States. Must find the source of this thinking. First thing would be to dump Backes as captain. That fact still blows my mind.

Seattle just feels weird for an NHL team. Portland might be a better fit...might. In a perfect world, Quebec City and Hamilton would be on the map but that's all academic debate. Meanwhile Kansas City still sits with a nice arena but with MLS, MLB, and NFL that city is tapped out with population. However, if Seattle were to get an expansion or relocated team, I would instantly support the name being the Metropolitans. Hang the banner!

Shattenkirk is a realistic possibility of being moved. The Blues are more with keeping Petro, Bou, etc. They need scoring forwards though.

No to Miller. Not getting younger. Sure he is a local and his brother but as far as this organization at this moment...no. Ten years ago was another story. Now if you said Johnathan Quick wants to play here then we can talk. Miller and Howard are, I think, the same level and the fact that Howard is a bit younger tilts me to keeping him. He had a bad season. If it continues, yes, make a change. But this year was crazy in almost every regard all over the roster. Give him a season to fix it.

St Louis crowds are horrendous as a fan. Even knowledgeable Blues fans can't stand most of them.

I would def take Howard every day over Miller. Miller is sorta better than Halak, but the Blues goaltending wasn't the issue. It was their lack of killer forwards to bury goals. And their defense isn't as great as they all claim. Better than ours, but I saw countless times Bou and Jackman getting smoked by average forwards with average speed.

The Blues fanbase, I think, is worse than Chicago. Only the Kings are likeable in the West.

Jagr may be too smart to sign here. But I would in all reality take him over the younger-old guys we have. He could certainly teach our kids more than Sammy.

Wouldn't mind Jagr. He puts more effort than some of our roster.

We all know that Boston/Pitt/MTL are the teams they are. Most hockey fans know it. But we haven't put forth an effort deserving to win this series either.

Sadly we quickly run out of talented, favored teams outside those three.

Play a full 60. Good things tend to happen.

I've been having to pull for Chicago in this series and then hopefully someone knocks them out in the second/third rounds. Anything to silence this fan base.

Really no one I have hated since we, thankfully, never had Backes, Pronger, Crosby, Malkin, Toews, Subban, etc, etc. I am very frustrated with having the likes of Sammy and Clearly being brought back and the on going justifications for it. In older times, I was never huge on Osgood, but you can't take away what he was a part of in Detroit or what he accomplished. And the only thing worse than knowing Federko wore the Red Wing is having to listen to his horrendous commentary during Blues games. The most homer of homers and illogical at that! The TV crew for the Blues is just bad. Their radio, however, is one of the best in the league.

The Kings were probably the most talented #8 seed in modern history that year. It was expected they would really dominate from the previous year and it took a coaching change (plus Jeff Carter) to really light them on fire that year. We aren't even close (on paper or ice) to that lineup they had (and mostly still have).

Love it when another kid get's a lifetime memory. It sticks with you forever.

A lot of factors for the game/season but playing only 40 min deserves a loss no matter if it's against the President's winner or the worst team in the league.

His attitude does it for me. Like Subban. I have no understanding why they are touted so highly.
