People keep comparing the modern team to the team of the 90s/early 2000s, and that's really not fair. Since the lockout we've been knocked out 1st only three times, with three second round knockouts. Compared to pre-cap days with five first rounds including being swept by the #8 seed, two second and three third rounds. We've been remarkably successful for 24 years and with the constraints of the cap, we've still made the playoffs and more often than not gone at least to the second round. And the past three years especially we've been "rebuilding", yet still in the playoffs.

Man, I don't understand why people worry about shots so much here. I've seen goals scored without an official shot being added because it got blocked and bounced in. Shots don't tell you much.

That shot count is right, but leaves a lot out. Refs are definitely playing favorites a bit.
