See I don't like Cody Franson. He did nothing for the Preds when they acquired him at the deadline. However I do recall Kenny having interest in him back when he was in Nashville the first time. I think he's overrated.

I couid see Phaneuf traded to the Sharks. They have a need for a top 4 dman plus they have the cap space. Plus they are in the western conference.

Maybe when Kenny meets with Danny boy next week he tries to convince him to retire. Offer a job in the organization somewhere and he accepts it. This is what I'm hoping for. But there is the possibility he is back on the roster next season.

Yeah who knows how Blash will change the lines. He did mention the other day that he will be using players a little bit differently than Babs did. I'm not sure what will happen with Weiss. The buyout window is at the end of the month. Or maybe Kenny trades him to a centre starved team like Arizona. Deal him for a draft pick and eat some salary. Or he stays and he thrives under Blash.

They won't stop spending money on NHL games. Have you ever been to Winnipeg? There is nothing there! The Jets are all they have. They sell their building out each game. That is a heck of a lot more than the Coyotes can say. Who is last on your list? Arizona?

It also helps that he's playing with Viktor Hedman each game. Stralman did play well with the Rangers last season. He was paired with Staal most nights. So he is a good dman but he plays with good players. If Kenny does add a dman I think it will be via trade. The UFA class doesn't impress me at all. But who does Kenny trade for? Yandle? The Rags gave up highly touted Duclair for him so they will likely want a blue chip prospect and a 1st round pick in return. Too much to give up for a player with only 1 year left on his contract. Maybe Bouwmeester in St. Louis? Kenny had interest in him before back when Jay Feaster was Flames GM. The Blues have to shed some salary to lock up Tarasenko long term. I don't know if JBO is on the block. He might be a good fit on the Wings. The Blues have Pietrangelo and Shattenkirk making big bucks.

I think Kenny inquires about UFAs and trades. Its just that he will not overpay just for the sake of getting new players. He gets turned down by UFAs. Stralman would have looked good playing with Kronwall this past season.

Unless Kenny is thinking keeping Z and Dats together on the 1st line. Sheahan centers the 2nd line and Soderberg centers the 3rd line. Babs seemed to think Riley was capable of much more than he's shown. I think its more important to acquire a top 4 dman. We have enough average forwards.

I'm not advocating the Wings sign both Ehrhoff and Martin. Personally I'd stick with Smith and Marchenko. But it sounds like Kenny would like to add at least 1 dman via trade or UFA.

AA, Mantha, 19th pick for Strome...Yes I make that trade if I'm Kenny. Larkin, Mantha, 19th for Strome...No I do not make that trade if I'm Kenny. I think Maloney would want Larkin in any potential Strome trade. I just don't see Kenny making that trade. I'm psychic.

The Wings record vs the west since they moved east has been very good.

They could always put Detroit and Columbus back in the west and move Arizona to Quebec .

I never liked Quennville when he coached the Blues. But he was a good coach then and he's a good coach now. He would not have stuck around as long as he has if he wasn't.

I just can't see any GM wanting to trade for the rights to sign Andersson. Lol
