Great to see a good game out of Helm. The one thing he's always had is insane speed, and both of those goals came out of that. No fancy tricks, just outskate everyone and throw it past the goalie before he knows what's going on. We need more of that please.

Not a terrible first two periods. Could be better, but being tied after giving up a fluke goal that put a young, sometimes stupid goalie at fault isn't the worst position the Wings have been in.

We've outplayed them twice at home, as long as we can keep fighting for the whole game, we should at least have a reasonable chance of winning. What we need to not do is come out letting Tampa Bay walk all over us like they did in the first two games. Play physical, cut Tampa's ability to create offense, and if Tampa fans want to cry foul let them, it's working.

Going by +/- so far this series, Zids and Quincey is our best pair. Quincey also has 3 assists. Guys, is... Quincey playing playoff hockey all of a sudden?

More just that it's Katy Perry, that's how I'm going to take it even though you're probably right. My sister plays hockey and I'll be the first to admit she would kick my ass in a fight. Hell, she's 4' 11" and I'm 5' 10", she'd kick my ass. Not even ashamed.

There is such a thing as taking it too far though, making it hard for the opposing team is one thing. Making the other teams fans directly uncomfortable is the danger zone. Having been the 12 year old in a Wings jersey in Gaylord EC having a Preds fan basically directly taunting me and my father, everyone's there to have a good time, if your idea of having a good time is trying to make other fans hate watching hockey in your team's building, you're taking it too far. It's a weird thing, common sense is a good thing but beer is louder lol.

I usually just stay aware of the people around me. If there's little kids around, I tend to dial it back a fair bit. I'm never going to make someone regret the decision to take their kids to a game.

I missed the entire thing since I had to work from 8PM to 3AM (Being a DJ has its downsides), but watching the score on a friend's phone made my long night a bit easier to handle. Can I get a belated first ever LGW Butt Pat?

Honestly, I hope the Caps do well, Ovechkin has always seemed like a nice enough guy and it's criminal how someone that good has never even made it to the Conference Finals. Plus the other three teams in this branch are all teams I despise, so the Caps coming out of it would be cool.

The Wings played great hockey for 54 minutes. The Lightning showed us exactly why that isn't good enough to win in the playoffs. So far no team has been able to win two in a row this series, if that keeps up the Wings take it. It's not out of reach, but letting them bounce back from what should have been an easy win does not show great signs for the mental toughness of the Wings. But who knows, maybe Petr will count this as a "bad" game and bounce back with a dominating performance in Tampa.
