  1. Yeah the Wings disastrous Dman drafting seems to finally be at an end.
  2. Cholowski looks a lot better this go round. Seems to be able to hit Mantha with the puck at will.
  3. I dunno...maybe. Agree Zadina isn't tearing things up by any means. Boqvist and Bouchard were still available at 6, but both have been sent down for more seasoning...probably like Zadina will be. Never was a huge fan of Quinton Hughes. Time will tell I guess, but yeah, that pick doesn't look like the relative no-brainer it did at the time. Ugh. That pass by Zadina nearly cost them a shorty. He had time and space too...not sure why he thought forcing that pass was a good idea.
  4. Bet the champs are surprised. I am.
  5. This is turning into a rout.
  6. Didn't look like it touched anything on the way in.
  7. Hey he waited till the garbage got near ice level at least.
  8. Well that makes things moar interesting for the younger fellers. Guessing this means more ice early on for Nemeth, Hronek, and Bowey. DDK - Green Nemeth - Hronek Daley - Bowey
  9. Rasmussen's eyes got big as saucers. lol Couldn't happen to a nicer kid.
  10. Don't love the penalty box parade, but it was nice puck movement by the Wings PP units.
  11. Yeah...it was a nice keep in by 39 before the goal too. Nice dive by ROR to get that PP too. Jeepers Veleno barely touched him. lol
  12. lol Zadina can't BUY a goal. Was a great feed from Cholowski though. Great save by Binnington. ZOMG does Pierre have to talk? ...or breathe?

...typical Darth Vader ignorance. I'm not a male, I'm a phallatially equipped android. That's a fine looking...umm...spider there. To be fair, I have a couple of friends(guys) that squeal like adolescent chix when they see a spider. One of them even has his GF protect him from spiders. Freaking wimp.

His look there says "Dafuq kind of stupid question is that...?"

...and after Matthews sincerely apologized for his legal troubles too. lol Sloppy drunks gonna get sloppy I guess.
  16. It was a good shot though...Murray barely flinched till after it rang the pipe.
  17. CRL is just raycis against bow ties.
  18. Not much risk Seider is banished to Mannheim, I shouldn't think. At worst he's a Griffin to start the season...and with the fragility of Green, Ericsson, and Daley... I believe I'd rather see Moritz get the first call up over Cholowski, but they're both worthy. Bummer for XO. That's kinda the bottom line. Though clearly skilled and not exactly small...I've seen Zadina pushed off the puck numerous times in pre-season play, even by other prospects. Yeah it's part of the learning process, but the same crap doesn't fly with Veleno and the two guys are about the same dimensions. Officially Veleno is about an inch taller and Zadina is a couple pounds heavier. Veleno is just better at protecting the puck from what I've seen. I like to see the line, but for me at least Zadina looks pretty soft and AA isn't exactly a tank.

Uh huh. Then one lone spider brings society to a halt.
  20. Yeah, I like to see Seider with Nemeth, and Daley...on another team. ...or retired. Thanks for your help Trevor, now go golf with Kronner.
  21. Not sure there'd be enough "grit" on a second of AA-Veleno-Zadina, but I'd like to see it anyway. Certainly Joey V has shown more willingness to trade paint than I'd envisioned from the lad. It'd certainly be a line that'd make the opposition pay for any mistakes.
  22. Yeah, they looked good for long stretches. The wheels fell off the bus late in the game, but I didn't expect them to win anyway. Seider was calm as usual, even with Malkin & Crosby on the ice.
  23. Well that's probably it for this game. The Wings look sluggish. Poor passing and no real effort on that last PP. No surprise they quickly gave up another goal. Standouts for me were Hicketts and Kuffner. Seider had a decent game, with only the one blown coverage...and then he was only a step behind.
