Our coach plays 2 goalies. How can 1 of them be consistent? Howard is a huge brain fart on Holland. But the coach cant expose the GM and not play the guys he signs.

There's a lot of truth to what you're saying.

I'm a little torn on Rig. I do think he's the worst 1B we have had in 25 years. But I dont think he's so bad as to not have a spot in the top 6. The big problem - you nailed it. He's very overpaid. He is a good 3B, and should be paid 2.5 mil per year to steady a 3rd pairing. We pay him 4.5 per year to underperform on the top pair. Cant really blame Ericsson, though. Thats on our gm/coach.

Brendan now has 7 pts in his last 8 games. He's a +4 on the year, and is on pace for 20-25 pts. Still not the guy we all want him to be, but I think he's only 1 step away now, whereas he has been 3 to 4 steps away for most of his first 3 years. I really want to see him round into a true legit 2A. If he can fill the 3 spot for us for the next 10 years, that would be very beneficial. DeKeyser should progress to a nice 1B, and Marchenko looks like he can progress to a true 2B. Ouellet and Russo can round out our 3A and 3B pairing. Howard, Ericsson, Green, Weiss, Tootoo, Kindl. There's 25 million per on a backup goalie, 3 defenseman we dont need, and 2 players we had to buy out. Holland has the money. He just has no clue how to use it. Green, Kronwall, Quincey, Ericssson, Kindl. Losing those 5 clears up 22 million. Trading Howard clears up another 3 mil if we eat 2 mil Per year. That's 25 million. Come on. We need a fricking good GM more than anything else. Holland is junk.

I feel the same way. Howard KILLS this team. I felt bad for the other 19 players. All 4 goals were saves for a top 10 goalie. Ben Bishop wouldn't even consider any of those shots difficult to stop. They were well placed shots, but all but one were from distance. Our goalie has to have at least 3 of those.
