Good point. Q is not super flashy, but he's a stabilizer. Allows his partner to play a little more aggressive.

Cool. Thx for your insight. I only watch a few griffs games a year, so good to have a birds eye view from you. I put a lot of stock in +/- when determining a player's value to the team, so Russo's +11 in 16 games impresses me.

What are the chances Larkin wins the Calder ?

If Larkin is at +40 with 50-60 pts, and Panarin is at +1 with 80 pts, I take Larkin for the Calder. Larkin has singlehandedly taken a team to a different level and is the mvp of his team. Panarin is not doing that. -
I dont watch too much of the Griffs games, but Russo is performing very well so far. 9 pts and +11 in 16 games is besting all defensemen by far. So much talk about Ouellet, Sproul, and Jensen. What about Robbie Russo?

I agree. Our defense looks really solid lately. I havent seen that many outnumbered attacks in the last 15 games. We were giving up odd man rushes frequently in the first 10 games, and that was a bit scary. Seems like Blash righted the ship in the defense department.

Ericsson doesn't seem to garner the negativity Kindl and Smith do. I don't think #52 is worth what he's paid, tho.

I dont think we will lose 4 NHL defensemen. That's pretty far fetched.

The issue is that we need a big defenseman who skates well, is right handed, and can protect our little euros. Byfuglien fits our needs perfectly.

Im not convinced Blashill is 100% comfortable with Holland yet. Seems way too pc with the players right now instead of doinf what's best for the team.

They were his goals allowed regardless. Cant use this point for Mrazek and not for Howard. 4 goals is a lot no matter how. -
Good post. Do you carry both Smith and Kindl on the 23 man squad, or do you make a trade?

Seems as if the focus has shifted away from Smith and is recentering on Ericsson. Is it time to sit #52 for a few games instead of Kindl?

I don't know why the coaches want Kindl-Smith to work so much, but it just doesn't. Smith-Kronwall DOES work, though. I have noticed their play has been exceptional since they've been paired together.
