I just dont like overlooking a real easy problem to fix (Miller out, Jurco in) and then trying to solve an impossible one in fitting 11 top 9 forwards in 9 spots. We dont need to have a s***ty 4th line, do we? That's not a rule, is it? Helm-Glendening-Jurco would be a pretty awesome improvement over Helm-Glendening-Miller.

Im perfectly fine with rhis logic. Just use it for EVERYONE. Dont give me some horse shyte "he kills penalties" or "he's a good shot blocker" or "he fits his role" argument for anyone else on the team, either. Sick of the double standard. Drew Miller has one fricking assist this year and has NEVER produced for the Red Wings. EVER. But everyone seems to want to make the stupidest excuses for him no matter how bad he stinks. "He fits his role." Is his role to stink and hurt the team by being useless 5 on 5? Ok. Then yah. He fits his role of being useless. Lets apply that to Jurco then if you are unsatisfied with his peoduction. He's just fitting his role. So annoying to hear people say ine player deserves a demotion for not hitting the scoresheet, but another deserves praise for NEVER hitting the scoresheet.

The stats just make your argument a total FAIL. Read the whole thread. Jurco's advanced stats are very good.

Why can Miller have zero goals in 21 games and remain immune from criticism? That baffles me. Jurco plays 4th line board grinder with Miller and Glendening half of last season, and people want him to have 60 points.

He probably settles rolling pucks, which is generally a good idea. One timing rolling pucks is generally a huge fail.

Zetterberg's resurgence is in large part due to Larkin. When Larkin plays with Tatar and Nyquist/Sheahan, that line heats up and Zetterberg cools down. Its easy to see.

If i see much more cowboy from him, i may convert. Doesnt help that Howard is the WORST goalie EVER when it's one on one. Smith seems to NEVER get bailed out by Howard, while Mrazek bails Smith's arse out all the time.

To be fair to Howard, stopping both of those would be miraculous. The first play he needed to step up out of the crease and he didnt. Thats on him. The 2nd one was just a good goal.
