Thank you, Dickie. I've seen you misquoted a lot in other threads as well. I dont really need the personal assaults questioning my fandom and character, but I can take it. I have thick skin. Krsmith, there is a quote button so you can include ALL of what I said. Please use that going forward so my words and thoughts arent taken out of context. I have different opinions than you do on our team and players, including Jensen. And there is nothing wrong with that. Well said. They are exiting the call-up phase of their careers and entering the career minor leaguer phase. Fact is neither of them skate well enough to be effective at the NHL level.

Totally agree with your assessments. Sproul and Jensen are not going to play Red Wings hockey. Russo and Ouellet have a chance if Smith and Quincey are gone next season. Our farm isnt as stacked as I thought it was 2 years ago. Tatar, Nyquist, Pulkkinen, Ouellet, Jensen, and Sproul have not turned into what I thought they were going to be. Mantha, Svechnikov, and Frk are not looking like sure fire guys either. Larkin and Athanasiou have the tools to be good NHLers. Starts with the speed. Check. Then the hands. Check. Athanasiou looks to be a little more gifted in tight, Larkin looks to be a lityle more gifted with ice awareness/hockey IQ. But the fact that Kenny "likes our team" and only wants to "kick some tires" is super annoying. The 6 guys I mentioned above all have some value now. Kenny should be getting what he can for them and opening the door for other players that are bigger and faster and win more puck battles and play better defense. Most of us do NOT like our team when it just scratches into the playoffs and gets bounced in the first round every year. I hate that!!! I dont know why Kenny likes it.

Hope they get Smith in and Marchenko out. Marchenko looked really worn down the last game. Got skated around and pushed around a lot. He's a big dude and plays pretty well positionally, so I think it just may be a first season fatigue sort of thing. I like all 7 d we have right now, so it is a bummer to see any one of them sit. I truly feel that we are better off with Smith in the lineup, tho.

This is like saying the Red Wings should study the Black Hawks ability to win cups. McDavid is the Wayne Gretzky of his 10 year period. Larkin is the Steve Yzerman.

Everybody is excited, but the team was badly outplayed last night. Should have been 6-2 Stars. Howard was a freak of nature and stole 2 pts for the squad.

If the puck hadnt gone directly to a Dallas player with an odd numbered transition attack imminent, I think the ref would have let it go. But Dallas was going to jump into a 2 on 1 or maybe a 2 on 0 if the call wasnt made. Weak call if it was 5 on 5. Must make call 3 on 3. Yah?

Nyquist embellished, but the ref saw that the first play really was a hook and would have led to an off man rush the other way. The ref absolutely made the right call there.
