I love how the haters imagine him to be a malcontent. In reality, he's a happy, healthy 22 year old young man playing pro hockey for a good living. "I"d offer him league minimum, tell him to get bent, and spit on him. That jerk can suck the high hard one." Meanwhile Yzerman is just waiting to see if anything else develops in the offseason before he takes care of Zadina. Standard Operating Procedure for a good GM.

I have the pairings going like this: Edvinsson - Sebrango Johansson - McIsaac Lashoff - Newpower I don't think Edvinsson gets more than 9 games in Detroit this year, and I'll bet they will be late in the season. Detroit is going to carry these dmen: Chiarot - Seider Maata - Hronek Haag - Lindstrom Osterle - Walman (IR) When Walman returns from Injury, they'll find a different Dman that needs some time on IR to heal. The GM's know what they're doing nowadays to not have roster problems. Let's see who's right! This is 14/7/2 in Detroit. Or do you mean in GR? I would agree with you that they might keep Kampfer up in Detroit to make 8.

We will see how Grand Rapids goes this year. If he gets top pair minutes with the Griffs, I wouldnt be surprised to see him fill in for injuries with the big club.

good one, Biff

disagree. I think hes gonna be great. a perfect fit for Seider.

Yup. And thats why having a guy like Zadina is nice for the team. Willing to grind out bottom 6 minutes, and fills in top 6 minutes when needed. Is he the only guy on our team that can do that? Pretty much Zadina, Veleno, and Ras right now. They moved Erne up last year for 2 games and he was completely lost. They moved Smith up for a game - disaster. Can Berggren, Solderblom, and Kasper step in and perfrorm better than Zadina? Id say no to Berggren and Solderblom, and it looks like Kasper wont be in the NHL until 24-25, maybe 23-24. So get used to Zadina for this upcoming season.

https://detroithockeynow.com/2022/08/21/red-wings-prospect-sebrango-makes-world-junior-history/ This guy will see NHL minutes this year. I cant believe how underrated Sebrango is amongst our fanbase.

Wallstedt just choked. Bye Swedes. Meanwhile, Seabass is in the final.

spot on. Kadri is NOT 50 million good. -
Teemu Pulkkinen had ONE thing going for him. A 95 MPH slap shot. Zadina brings a lot more to the table than that. You know this.
-
False. TBD still. Youre creating a false hypithetical here. Zadina played some top 6 last year. So did Ras. Both players are valuable to the Wings in that they have both been coachef to be dependable anywhere in the lineup. Your teammate competition thing isnt as big a thing to the organization. We should have drafted Hughes, Bouchard, or Dobson in retrospect. Hindsight is always 20/20.
-
the only people pretending are those who think we have a 50-60 pt winger in our system past our top 6. We dont.
-
take it easy there, Biff.
-
He repeated what I said! Yes. Berggren might bust harder than Zadina. Dont think so, but he isnt getting top 6 minutes this year. I dont expect more than 10 pts outta him. Soderblom - hasnt played on NA surface yet. Niederbach - I think this guy is going to be the best besides Kasper. Mazur - not even pro yet.
-
Are people not reading what they are writing? This is so bizarre.
-
False statement. Our forward prospect pool is so weak/underdeveloped/injured that Steve Yzerman needed to sign 3 UFAs to field an NHL caliber lineup. Where? Cant find them.
-
One thing you say here is something a lot of LGW posters fail to grasp = pay. Seems like a lot of people dont understand that we cant have 6.5 mil per season wingers on EVERY line. We need players that make 1.5-2.5 million in the bottom 6 that can play top 6 when injuries hit. And we need guys that are happy to do that. So far, Zadina hasnt put any pressure on anyone to make him a better player other than hisself. I see absolutely zero reason to get rid of a guy like that unless there are better options. With Soderblom, Niederbach, Berggren, and Mazur coming on, we could have better options soon.

Whats you having to badmouth Zadina have to do with Zadina?
-
10-4. Im not as down on him as you are. Will be interesting how you evaluate Berggren and his 16 pts this season.

If he has 35 pts in 55 games, you trade him?
