just means top 10 at the position

Youre right, Marc. Cant give up any assets. We are probably going to move to a 2-3-1 system to accommodate all our defensemen prospects. Larkin-Raymond Veleno-Bertuzzi Vrana-Zadina Rasmussen-Berggren Edvinsson-Sebrango-Seider Johansson-McIssac-Hronek Wallinder-Buium-Lindstrom Viro Ned Cossa

I cut nico, and my dad cut me we are cutters

fantasy jewish! thats the best part. Its like landing on boardwalk first time around the board with $1,200 and passing because youre contemplating if you will be able to build a house on Marvin Gardins in 6 more trips around the board after you've acquired Atlantic and Ventnor, while playing against 3 other people.
-
According to Marc, we will be cap strapped if we do that. Better let him walk.
-
I think we are a lot closer to being a playoff team than people realize.

AND exactly ZERO NHL games played so far. I could add a lot of extra points to this conversation to make a strong case against the following Salary chart in 2027: Seider 9 mil Edvinsson 9 mil Raymond 9 mil Larkin 9 mil Vrana 9 mil Betuzzi 7 mil I just cant believe that I have to. It's like I said before - stingiest fantasy GMs Ive ever seen. Or could be 1st best by then. Why are you assuming hes on the decline at age 27/28? Very strange.
-
Craig Janney organized all of this. Hes still bitter.

It helps when the defender assists you on a pick and shoot. That play made me laugh. Looked like college hoops. Good call. We need to draft a Shane Wright when we get a Shane Wright draft slot. Getting a solid top 9 F at pick 31 is a huge WIN.

ha ha ha. good call

why would u want to trade your 3rd best defenseman on a stacked defense on a cup contending team? Imagine looking to move Rafalski in 2008. Why would u do that?
-
You act like the gm has to sit still for 8 years after the signing. Why cant we use him for 5 years till he's 33, then trade him? Or why cant we just use 3 mil of the extra 10 mil of cap space we'll have in 2027 on him. Adding an 8 mil per player to our team right now that can play big minutes effectively HELPS US. We're 22 million under the cap going into 2022-23. Are you trying to save the Illitchs money? I wonder if Stevie took a stab at Lindholm. Would be interesting to see the ask from Anaheim and Hampus.
-
more important for him to be a good judge of player talent atm.

or sign and trades. want to see complete mystification? wait til one of our guys goes to arbitration this summer. "If I were gm, I'd be prepared with all the comparables, options for term, and know whats reasonable." That's what the arbitrator ia for, Marc. "I wouldnt need that guy. If Zadina wont take 500,000 a year, he can walk." League minimum salary is $750,000, Marc. Plus we're $33,400,000 under the cap and gonna need to pay cap floor penalties with your squad right now. "Exactly."

Marc is one of the stingiest fantasy gms out there. I dont know of anyone else that takes into consideration future fantasy re-signings 3 years before they happen with players that dont even have 1 season under their belts. But apparently, we couldnt afford Lindholm in fantasy cap land because Seider, Raymond, and Edvinsson are all due for big raises. I tried to explain how RFA works and that we probably would be ok with a big contract (Forsberg @ 8 mil per), but apparently we're gonna break the bank on pur RFAs this time around.

Lets Analyze this late season tank job a bit more closely. With 20 games left, Detroit sits 9th to last with 8 pts separating them from NJ at 4th to last. Should they/can they out-suck 5 teams to get into a 4th to last draw at the lotto wheel? Shane Wright is a piece the Wings need BAD. Im thinking that is does this team absolutely zero good to win another game this season.
-
it wasnt our 2nd? ok, that changes things slightly. the year of suck out of Leddy still stands. lazy too. im disappointed that we didnt spend any money. I was hoping we'd go after Forsberg or picks with our cap room. Maybe Yzerman has more tanking in mind for next year? ughhh sighhh
-
How do u like whats happened?
-
problem is we didnt get back "that" 2nd. Chances of a 2nd rounder doing anything impactful are bad no matter where they are, but we definitely lost on this because Nick Leddy stunk the entire season. He did not play well and did not help us. The trade today is a win, but the overall Leddy deal is a loss.

post a pic of the dobie!

Leddy is trash, and the whole league knows
