You have to be HIGH af to think Edvinsson wears any other jersey besides a winged wheel next season. This team has exactly ZERO left handed players now that can out perform him. If we pick up Lindholm, Edvinsson becomes 2nd pair material. Thats a huge if, tho. Either way, Edvinsson plays his last non NHL game at the end of this season.

This TDL is about offloading Leddy and one of Namestnikov or Suter. Try to get a 1st for Leddy and a 2nd for Namestnikov. Then trade the late 1st we get and our 2nd to move up to a middle 1st. If we can go into the draft with picks 7 and 16, we should be able to draft (2) line-up players. And thats what we need - young guys who only need a year in another league before they hit the nhl.

both are young. having 2 young guys playing admirably in the ahl should mean tjey get smacled around a bit in the NHL nexy year, but gain their footings after 2-3 years. Our D should look really tough by 2024.

Im thinking AZ starts with Edvinsson and only Edvinsson. I wouldnt consider trading Chychrun for anything else than a sure fire prospect and a first.

we got screwed 6/6 times. I think the NHL is gonna hook us up this year, tho. I mean, enough is enough with AZ, NJ, BUF, and NYR. The NHL is pissing away money sending top talent to these teams. NY, CHI, ad LA teams make sense to lottery ball favor, as the game still needs exposure. But giving these teams 3 or 4 overall number 1s and them not doing anything with them is just nonsense. The Red Wings are ready to grab Shane Wright and make some noise next year. I really believe this is our year to "luck out". And I think Bettman called Stevie and let him know that he wasnt going to be able to help us if we finished higher than bottom 6 or so.
