yuk. Why? Whats wring with winning? -
theres also an enormous skill level gap.
-
Well said. I just hope we arent lamenting 2 or 3 points in the standings come April and looking back at losses to Montreal/Ottawa. That would really suck.
-
we are at that point where the bertuzzi non jab is potentially making or breaking us. was hoping his decision wouldnt affect the outcome, but it might.

Edvinsson, Sebrango, and McIsaac

im not against picking him up if cbj dont want him -
Yah, Yzerman was a boss last year with Vrana+Ned

Thats the strange thing. Kane is as high end of a winger as you can get. He's a fantastic player. If he came over and said all the right things, would it be so bad? "Ive done some things I regret, but the past is the past and its time to move on. Im going to dedicate myself to being a good team guy, work my butt off, and help get this team Stanley Cups. Im grateful to Steve and Jeff for giving me a chance to redeem myself, and Im going to take this opportunity to do just that." It would take me about 2 games to forgive him for being an ******* in SJ if he truly did a 180 in Detroit. yah, I might be off in the return value for our guys. But do u agree with me that we can be buyers AND sellers at the same time. I think im making a good point about that.

At the B. Smith/Mantha age (25/26), yes. Time to unload then. At 23 and in a player's first year of developing a new role, no. Im sure Ras didnt have 4th line shut down center + pk/face off expert in mind when he was dreaming of his NHL future. Thats what Yzerman and Blash want out of him, and that's what he's trying to do. The guy is 6'6" and has a huge reach. I could see him being great in our 4C role if he gets a bit stronger and a half step faster over the next 2 seasons. You can see he's just not quite fast enough and not quite physical enough right now. He needs gym work. yes. as i said above, he needs to dedicate time in the gym. that will be his undoing as an nhler if he doesnt put the time in. he's 20 lbs too light (like dekeyser), and a half step too slow. His reach with his long arms and long stick is incredible. But he needs to be the one pushing others around. He's getting outworked right now because he's not strong enough in upper or lower body. Wings have had a strength coach issue for a long time now. Dont know why they cant fix that.
-
Dont see why we cant do both. Unload Leddy to Edm for a 1st. Unload Dekeyser to Toronto for a 2nd and 4th. Unload Stahl to NY for a 3rd. Unload Namestnikov to Minn for a 2nd. Add Kane for a 7th. Add Lindholm for the Edm 1st. Bertuzzi-Larkin-Raymond Vrana-Suter-Kane Zadina-Veleno-Berggren Erne-Rasmussen-Smith Seider-Lindholm Hronek-Osterle Lindstrom-Edvinsson Ned

Thats part of being young. He is still learning. Give him some time.
-
He's no Al MacInnis by any means, but he does have a decent shot. He needs to start being a little more selfish.
-
Mo broke up a lot of plays tonight. Had a great game.
-
Big Mo to the 7.
-
Seider passing too much. shoot it, big guy.
-
nice d, Zboss
-
like how he doesnt stop moving
-
Because ypu want him to be a goal scorer.
-
Veleno is good
-
yah, Stevies picks are still in the NCAA or Europe. the Grifs should get restacked in the next couple seasons.
-
excited for tomorrow. we won two games we should have lost the last 2. havent done that in a LONG time.
-
i agree with this. Fabbri is a great team guy at 3 mil per. Can play anywhere in the top 12 and not look out of place. Thats big while we only have 3 legit top 9 wingers in Zadina, Raymond, and Bertuzzi. If Berggren, Soderblom, and Veleno round out into top 9 guys, then Fabbri will become a bit more expendable. But right now, he's a key piece. I agree with this. He had a TERRIBLE game against Sea, but he has generally looked like a great Glendening replacement this year. Im 100% fine with him as our 4C for the next 10 years. If he works his ass off and becomes a shutdown center that kills pks like a boss, Big Ras will be good Red Wing worth the 9oa pick.

this isnt manly

If we add Forsberg, Lindholm, Vrana, Edvinsson, Berggren, Sebrango, and McIsasc after we subtract Leddy, Dekeyser, Stahl, Stecher, Namestnikov, Rowney, and Stephens, we will be A LOT better than u think. We are .500 right now, dude. Now's the time to add a couple big ticket UFA's and compete. Not when we have to blow thr team up because 5 guys want 10 million a year each. Just my $.02. Dont know why you'd jave an objection to Yzerman using the available cap space on 2 damn good players instead of 7 mediocre ones.

you mean after we win 2 cups?
