I want him to turn that corner and be a consistent force regardless of his linemates and ice time. We really need him to turn out to be good. Playing with Veleno/Bertuzzi/Mantha going forward next year should help. If we get Hughes, our top 6 will be fantastic. Hughes-Larkin-Mantha Zadina-Veleno-Athanasiou Bertuzzi-Nielsen-Rasmussen Add Panarin in UFA, and we start looking like a decent team. Hughes-Larkin-Panarin Zadina-Veleno-Athanasiou Bertuzzi-Rasmussen-Mantha De La Rose-Ehn-Glendening Ditching Abby, Frans, and Helm is the big problem. Those guys and their contracts are crippling.

My favorite part about Veleno is his maturity, and that's why I have high Hope's for him. But his competition level is so poor right now, that I'm not putting any stock into his production levels.
