  1. The Seattle TV crew is solid.  I'm listening to their team, and I like it.  They showed respect to Velenodin.  The girl said "Because I fear him, I'll say that the Red Wings should ask to see if the crossbar on that net is at regulation.  It's probably low."

Compher is a good 2-way player.  He's consistently below the goal line helping out the D.  I like that.

    Velenodin!!!!

I think he's still a good player who could help us, I just doubt Yzerman would go really hard after him.

He's not going to go hard after him.  He doesn't have to now.  It's clear that we're playing a good brand of hockey now and have a good mix of youth and experience.  Kane is trying to bump his leverage, but he has none.  If the Avalanche and Knights don't take him (which they can't and they won't), then it's going to be tough for him to find a better option than the Wings.

Missed that empty net in the first 2 min I know, but you have got to remember that the Joegod will test your faith. Don't stray now just because it is easy to.

That was some prime gloving. "Matty" will think twice about trying to sit on the ice and absorb the puck through his butthole again now.

Beniers was like "Who's HUGE glove is this covering up my mouth and nose.  I don't like this.  I'm going to play on the perimeter from now on.  I don't want this."

    His ugo girlfriend says "Beard"

It used be you go behind the bleachers after a gym sesh, do a couple bumps and bone, and then you go home to your wives. Now it's all about the rainbow tape and touching kids at target. What happened? I miss when dudes only got the top surgery, changed their name to Beverley, and then did their best to look good in a sundress. Now they whack the weiners right off and post about it on the facebook. No shame.

    Folsom Street Fair style?

No it wouldn't. It would cost about as much as LA paid for Dubios (a comparable player to Thomas). LA gave a young center, a 29 year old cap dump, a mid level prospect, and a 2nd. In Red Wings terms that's something like Veleno/Berggren/Rasmussen, Fabbri/Maatta/Gostisbehere, Sodorblom/Johansson/Hanas, and a 2nd.

Obviously the actual trade would be slightly different. For instance, if you upgrade the pick to a 1st then you probably don't have to give as much on the prospect. Or if you give a better prospect maybe you don't give a pick at all. But the value is right.

You're in LA LA land.  Robert Thomas isn't unhappy, and St. Louis isn't unhappy with him.  They just gave him 8.125 x 8 year deal as a 24 year old.  Why would they want to dump him for a bunch of throwaways.  They can have half of the guys you just mentioned for free if they wait 1 to 2 years.  It's going to cost us a comparable asset that's younger (Danielson) + the assets willing to take on the risk and delay for Danielson to get there (Wallinder and a 1st).  I'm not against your idea of trying to acquire Thomas.  And I'm not against giving up assets to get him.  I just think that Yzerman is not willing to do that.  He's stated that he wants to build for PERENNIAL success instead of making a run for a few years and then fizzling out.  Tough to do that when you trade multiple future assets away for one current one.

Here's a rumor that I'm starting on my own: While the entire world is thinking that General Manager SY is targeting Lindolm or Pettersson, the wily old devil will actually go back to the St. Louis well one more time and nab Robert Thomas at the deadline to round out this lineup. On the back of this trade the Red Wings will make the conference finals.

This would cost us Danielson, Wallinder, and a first.  Is that ok?

    1. name me a recent deal where "big players" went for less

    2. LIndholm and Hannafin are actually two big players or at least 1.5 big players

we will be taking picks back at the TDL.  Kane is our acquisition.  This will leave Perron and Fabbri on the block.  We will take what we can get.

I was at The Landing bar and grill in East Gwillimbury the other week and I started talking to some local Ontario boys. Told them I was a wings fan, and they said they loved Yzerman and that he's the best player from Ontario not named Wayne. I said to them I'm pretty sure he's from BC. They laughed and said no he grew up in Ontario.

Loonies... did I fuq up here? I paid my tab quick and hustled out embarrassed. Was I wrong though?

Youre not wrong.  He moved to Ontario at 10 years old after converting to Velenoism.

    Rules for this game:

    1. Ignore DCat posters.

    2. Remove your hat whenever you glimpse the Joegod.

    3. Gloving encouraged.

    4. Stick slamming BANNED.

Seattle is struggling BIG TIME out the gate. GRUUUUUUUbauer is a mess and Daccord is a siv. Burakovsky is hurt and their talented rookies are out to lunch.

This should be a literal feast for us goal wise. But let's not get cocky. Glendog your Dzones and Howard your hoagies boys lets go.

Hell yah.  Last game didnt have nearly enough gloving.  Glover with the Glover Hat Trick.  1 Goal, 1 Assist, 1 Gloving.
