Izzo asking Beilien for help? http://www.mlive.com/spartans/index.ssf/20..._izzo_will.html
-
I don't know of any U-M fans who hate Izzo. I'm sure there is some, because some fans will hate a coach/player just because of the school attached. I know I don't. I'm not an Izzo lover, but I really respect him. I'm not going to lie though I was starting to question him until this year. I thought he was starting to lose it due to the Big 10 title drought along with other things, but he proved me wrong. I used to say the same thing about Lloyd Carr. Yeah, he was grumpy but he did things the right way and if you ever met him you were blown away.

BU should take it home, but after what has already happened anything could happen. This is the craziest hockey tourney I can name. There's 2 four seeds in the frozen four for crying out loud, and one is BEMIDJI STATE!!!!
-
Hope you didn't pick Notre Dame either!!!! I was at that game tonight working in the pressbox. I've never seen anything like it. Bemidji State was doing every single thing right, and wow that team can really skate. I don't know how they were only 3 games above .500 this season. Can't believe I will be watching a game between Cornell and Bemidji State that has a Frozen Four birth on the line

That is legend!!! Have you heard 1980 by Dirt Nasty? Pretty much the same...it's below Can't stop listening to these songs....

I have had a busy weekend so I've missed a lot of March Madness but I think my bracket is in decent shape. WVU really messed mine up, because I had them beating MSU later on, and of course I got Wake wrong. There's a few others too, but not sure which ones. And I have to say great season by Michigan. Who would have thought this would have happened before the season started?
-
I was with you until the BCS part. My problem with college hoops is most of these college basketball powers are "paid for". If you do the research you can find all kinds of stories. Guys like Calapari, and Self are dirty cheaters. I know this happens in football as well, but with AAU leagues college basketball is in much worse shape. Seriously, I'm all for nailing Michigan because they cheated, but if you are going to let everything else slide under the rug what is the point?

YESSSSSSSSSIRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!!!! Wow, what a game!!!!!!
-
Is that sarcasm?

I forgot they had the No. 12 pick so that wouldn't work. My best friend is a die hard Broncos fan so I think I've been getting the version of Jay Cutler with his blue/orange glasses on.

Jackass

I absolutely agree with you. Wouldn't care about the 1st pick if we got him. I heard some guy on ESPN say if they trade Cutler they will need a pick that can get them Sanchez, or Stafford. I wonder if trading our No. 1 pick for Cutler, and their 1st rounder would be asking too much?
-
Thanks for that. I've been trying to find out stuff about them tonight. I got the impression too that Booker was like Sims except better. This sounds like stupid, common sense but if U-M wants to win they need to make their shots. Simple, but there really isn't another way to explain it since they live/die by it in most cases.

^^^ Is that real? Screw what I said BRTD about the jerseys. If thats the one I'm with you!
-
I went to put my dancing shoes on, and they didn't fit!!! I think Michigan/Clemson could could be a fantastic game. I think it was the CBS guys hinting at that too. Neither have big men so there should be a lot of pushing the court. If they win that sucks about playing Blake Griffin, but not really worried about that right now!
-
Agree on the first part. We've had the argument before the jerseys. I just don't see the problem, and don't really care if they keep them, or change it. Chargers, Broncos, Patriots, and Bucs have all messed around with their jerseys in the last 10 years.
-
MSU looked just like U-M. Neither could buy a shot. So frustrating to watch.
-
I want to draft Curry with the No. 1 pick. Curry reminds me of Mario Williams in 2006. You had all these franchise players like Young, Bush, etc but everyone said Williams was the "safe" pick. When you now compare him to Bush, and Young it doesn't look so safe anymore. But they could draft a big fella at No. 1, and then get a number of LB's at 20 such as Manaluga, Cushing, or Laurenitis.
-
Really? I heard about the new jerseys but not colors. From what I've heard were getting rid of the black jerseys, and adding a throw back as the 3rd jersey. Maybe that's wrong. I have no clue. New colors would be a shock to me.

Speaking of kool aid, how much have you been having? There is no way that is true. Two wins to have ANY chance? Yeah right! Michigan has a edge over several bubble teams including Creighton, Florida, Penn State, Va. Tech, Maryland, Oklahoma State, New Mexico, and pretty even with Arizona, South Carolina, and Boston College. As for MSU I think they should be a No. 1 seed no matter what happens in the BTT. They have the most top 50 RPI wins of anyone, and won the B10 by four games which is very impressive.

Not going to lie I'm drinking a lot of it If they lose to Iowa I'm going to buy a keg of it! If Delvon was 100% all year I wonder if he would be considered 1 and done. I remember in HS some people considered him, Jennings, and Mullens to be possible guys that would do that.
-
You are right. I forgot about that. Who was it? MSU, U-M, WMU, Detroit, and EMU? Or was it CMU instead of EMU?
-
The roller coaster continues, but looks like the drought is over!! I still remember losing to Baron Davis/UCLA in the 2nd round...can't believe it has been so long. Cinderella will be wearing Maize and Blue this March!!!!!!

I will be there, and thats a guarantee! Wonder how the tickets were work out

2008-2009 NBA Season Thread (Pistons trade for Allen Iverson)

Watching that game last night was surreal. It didn't seem right watching Billups in a baby blue jersey with a number 7 on the front. I've seen him wearing the stuff now on EPSN for a while, but once he got in the Palace it actually hit me. That standing ovation was amazing (he even said a little too long), but it was a great sight.
