Agree. I will get excited if the OL overachieves, but thats probably a pipe dream.

I agree with this, but I think RR is a much better coach then JLS. I also disagree with people who say the spread will fail in the Big Ten because it did for JLS. Every team in the Big Ten is spread now except MSU, OSU, Iowa, and Wisconsin, and I'm sure once Pryor has control of the team OSU will switch to some type of it as well.

I hope I never see Sheridan take a snap again. Some of those balls he threw up for grabs, and lofted were inexcusable for a college QB. You also knew he was he was throwing to every time because he only looked at one target every time he dropped back. Threet will struggle big time too, but might as well ride him. His ceiling is wayyyy higher potential wise, and he has a much better arm. The thing I don't understand is why Brown/Minor hardly played. We all know McGuffie is a freak, but seriously he is a horrible blocker (which most freshmen RB's are). McGuffie/Shaw should play a lot, but to give them way more chances then two good players who have been around a while shouldn't happen. I can't even guess how many times I've been to the Big House for a game, and I can't tell you a time the crowd has had such an exciting vibe to it (and I've been to OSU, MSU, ND, Wash, and PSU games). On top of that that stadium is going to be beautiful. The pictures do no justice to how big it is going to be. The new Victors walk is one of the best ideas in a long time. It is such a cool experience. This is going to be a long year, but I think at times it will be really exciting to watch.

I wondered the same. The stuff I watched was amazing, but when I saw Jackie Chan signing his lungs out I needed to change the channel ASAP. That was over the top for me!!

    07-08 College Hockey

I watched ND play Ferris or Michigan 8 times total last year, and I swear a player or two had Nike/Bauer XXX gloves on, but I have nothing to back it up. I'm starting to think I was seeing things..... Speaking of Ferris and jerseys they were suppose to get new ones this year too (rumor was Buffalo Saber jerseys). I sent a email yesterday to see if I could see them, and turns out they are going to wait 'at least another year'. What a shocker! They really make me scratch my head sometimes. Those home jerseys are hideous!

Season kicks off tonight. U-M plays No. 2 Boston College it should be interesting. I'm picking MSU to win the CCHA because of Lerg. What are your thoughts this year?

Yes, very true. When I read about Ferraha I shook my head too. The thought of Sheridan starting though gives me chills

I like those white ones! Still trying to figure out if U-M players can wear Nike skates, or anything else with Adidas running the show. I've tried looking at pics of ND hockey players to see if they had any Nike stuff, but haven't had luck.

Kevin Newsome U of M QB recruit

I just found out about this today because I was in NY for a week, and at first I flipped out, but like posted above U-M will end up with Forcier, Smith, or Newsome again to go along with Beaver before Signing Day.

No doubt about it. Compare Shawn Johnson, the youngest U.S. gymnast to any girl from China. You really think those girls are the same age? Heck no...maybe 1, or 2 at most. It makes perfect sense to because A) It's China. B) There is no way to prove it. I also agree with whoever mentioned the Chinese hindering the girls. I thought that while I was watching it live.

    2008 Detroit Tigers Season Thread

I thought it was interesting the Tigers signed Freddy Garcia to a minor league deal. It could be a good gamble if he ever gets healthy , and pitches like he did on the Sox. The reason I say it is interesting is because I remember reading when Seattle traded Guilen to the Tigers they said they were tired of how much Garcia/Guilen were party animals together. Will the party boys get reunited?

There are a lot of good upsets brought up in there, and the ones above you 2 guys mentioned, but in my book I will be putting App State at No. 2 for probably a long time. I know there are some other very good upsets...maybe it was just because I witnessed the U-M/App State game in person. I don't know.....

We all know the MSU game didn't count, but c'mon if that happened to Michigan it is easy to bring up because if MSU/GVSU rematch 100 times MSU wins by a large margin 99 times. The Lions-Giants game is a very poor example. You got a handful of guys on each team that will never play a regular season game, and have a bunch of young guys playing on top of that. I will leave it at though because this isn't basketball season. I really want to agree on the USC/Stanford point, because you can easily argue App State has better talent then Stanford, and how USC was much more dominant then Michigan, but the fact is Stanford plays in a major conference in the PAC 10 (and is D1) while App State is I-AA (or whatever it's called now). The App State game IMO is the greatest upset ever in sports besides the Miracle On Ice.

I don't think college football coaches should focus on the National Championship because if you do what you're suppose to do each, and every week things still may not fall into place. Perfect examples are Georgia going 12-1 a few years back, and Auburn going 13-0...neither got a sniff of a NC. If I were a coach my goal would be to win the league, and see what happens from there.

Oh my fault. I thought it was college basketball 24/7/365 for Spartans. I think I saw a pic online showing a OSU player with a motivational shirt on that had something to do with 3 straight Big Ten Titles. I also saw one that said "Strive for 5" referring to Michigan.
