The Official 2007-08 Detroit Pistons Season Thread

That would be sweet with CDR. He would be coming home. I haven't looked at any mock drafts yet, but will check them out. What would people think about Koufas from O$U? -
U-M won the Lacrosse National Championship tonight against Chapman. It's a club sport though.....

The Cavs actually scare me ALOT. I know the Stones will have the revenge thing going for them, but really one of the only teams in the whole NBA that believes they can take us out is the Cavs IMO. LeBron always seems to go off on us when it counts, and the rest of that JV team seems to overachieve. I know we were 3-1 against them this season, but last years playoff performance still haunts me. On the other hand like my buddy says the Cavs were built to beat us when they had Gooden, and the other players before the trade, and now they are not with Ben, Wally, and white trash West. I guess either BOS/CLEV will be a battle..... -
After you said that I looked it up, and sure enough. I used to work with someone who was a all Big Ten fencer at MSU, but the year after that they dropped it to club so he became kind of a no one. He was sweet, so I believe your roommate is... I'll try and switch the subject back to Lacrosse. Thats pretty cool OSU played in the Shoe. It's similar to the cold war, except not a rivalry.
-
Are you serious or just making that up? Fencing?! Oh well, the joke was fun while it lasted....
-
He should stand by the refs, but that doesn't he can't be a man, and admit there was a mistake. Bettman couldn't run a ice cream shop.
-
They'll probably lose in the National Championship like all their other sports
-
Not even going to start on that. Disagree with that big time.

ESPN's Mike Greenberg predicts a comeback
mannysBETTER3434 replied to timothy1997's topic in General
Surprised Dumb, and Dumber even talked about hockey. Interesting prediction I guess. I used to love Mike/Mike, but I think all their publicity went to their heads. They are on soaps, commercials, commentators for the AFL, writing books, and a bunch of other stuff they are not good at now..... -

Back into the Conference Finals! Glad Billups can get plenty of rest now. We need to get to the finals. -

Boston will be hard assuming they make it next round, but Pistons can take them. Boston should be beaten up after 7 games with the Hawks, and hopefully a long series with the Cavs. I think our bench will be a big time advantage over Boston too. -

That was one of the best Pistons games I've seen in a long time. What a fight they went through. Not only did they have no Billups, but were also down 15! What a game! I'm always hard on Prince, but he played great on both sides of the ball. This series is over... -
Ding, Ding, Ding! My thoughts exactly!

Rich Rod ruining Michigan tradition?
mannysBETTER3434 replied to timothy1997's topic in Other Sports
Last I heard Hart finished his career with a decent 674 yards against Little Brother. If Jim Harabaugh spoke the truth Jim Carty wouldn't be ashamed of his latest "investigation" for the rest of his life. -
Rich Rod ruining Michigan tradition?
mannysBETTER3434 replied to timothy1997's topic in Other Sports
Red touched it a little above, but I think the No. 1 jersey was more of a tradition to the fans. If you think about it the jersey didn't become "legend" until Carr played mind games with Braylon saying he couldn't switch numbers unless he picked up his game (he was No. 80 his first 3 years). Yes, great U-M WR have worn it before Braylon, but they actually worn it since they arrived on campus such as Terrell/Carter. I read Braylon said he was going to call Rich Rod about it, and wasn't that upset (he's actually training with the new S/C coach). After Edwards graduated he made a scholarship fund for whoever wore the No. 1 jersey, and they had to meet requirements including their off the field work/GPA. Maybe RR didn't know that yet....I doubt anyone wears No. 1 come fall. As for Boren...I have no problem with his choice of leaving. He must of felt he didn't fit in, or couldn't handle the new, intense workouts, BUT throwing U-M under the bus, and going to OSU is not acceptable. I hope he gets buried in the depth chart, and regrets his decision the rest of his life. "THOSE WHO STAY..." As for Mallett....I bet he would have left even if Miles came, or anyone else. Sounded like he alienated teammates, hated the weather, and hated how far away he was from home. RR coming was a perfect excuse to leave.... -
Like you hinted at the Kitna-O-Meter should be starts, and not wins. He won't be the starter at seasons end.

I didn't know he signed with GB. I wish him the best. He has a very solid year last season, along with Adams. By the way anyone see this young GB fan? http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/blog/shutdown_...-?urn=nfl,80972

All I read is Brohm/Rogers. When is Matt Flynn going to get some loving! (:
-
I agree. I forgot who said it, but when the Pistons drafted him some NBA guru said if he went to a big name school he would have been drafted before Connolly Jr. Great pick by Joe D. Not going to lie I was a bit skeptical on that one. It also helps he can learn from Billups.

I can only hope! Wow I feel like fourth grader right now......

They added another 4 star QB today, Beaver. Sometime in the next four years Beaver, and Cox will be in the backfield together. Sorry couldn't help myself....

I think thats right. I still swear I saw that, and yesterday I read comments on Rivals saying the bottom line said Arrington was drafted by a team not named N.O. I think that was GB too..... Are you running the bottom line?
