That is true. Although I think if NW had more talent they would be lethal because their offense can play with anyone if they show up to play. Many people point to RR, and John L Smith, but I think that is a bad example. I look more at Illinois, and Ohio State's offense when they had Troy Smith for how the offense is going to be ran. You're that confident on Pryor huh? I can only hope! I watched his film last night, and it was beyond amazing. McGuffie/Pryor would be Slaton/White on steriods!

I agree with both points. I wouldn't worry about that. We got Carlos Brown, Kevin Grady, Brandon Minor, and Avery Horn at RB. Brown/Horn got jets on them like Slaton, and Grady/Minor are power backs. At least 2 will pop out strong as the season starts. I'm also not so worried about Mallett. I think it's all up to him on how much he wants to improve, and if he has the right attitude he will be alright. Look at Sean Kings stats under Rogriguez (RR's last pocket passer) - 3,232 pass yards, 36 TDs, 6 INTS - Broke 1-A record for pass efficiency with 183.3 (previous record was Florida's Danny Wuerffel) - Ended season with 204 consective pass attempts without throwing an INT (23 quarters of play) - Completed 222 of 327 pass attempts (67.9%) Also at Glenville State his QB would sometimes throw the ball 50 times a game. He can adjust to his personal. Sure there will be growing pains, and ups/downs, but overall I don't think it will be a huge transition. sorry double post (:

This shows how important timing is when colleges have to hire a coach in any sport. If WVU would have beat Pitt they would be in the title game, and not LSU. If this would have happened Miles would be coaching U-M right now, and not Rod.

Hey Matt- I like your changes to the thread title (:

I've been doing the same thing the last 23 days Mallett can run spread. Like posted above he did it in high school. People need to remember there is a difference between spread option, and regular spread. If Pryor comes along I would guess Mallett/Pryor play like Tebow/Leak did last season. This will be an fresh, exciting start next year!

RICH ROD TO U-M!!!!!!!!! http://www.wvgazette.com/section/Breaking/000001281 http://michigan.rivals.com/

I'm with you. He did it last year at Bama. He's a WVU alum. I can't see him leaving, but word on the street is we could find out either way by tonight. The saga continues....

I always wondered why it hasn't been considered at the Big House. It would almost, or would fill up for sure. Maybe the rink can't be set up on that field turf...I don't know for sure though.

This would be a great hire. The U-M offense would finally enter the 21st century!

Rich Rod, and U-M meeting?! All right! Except it won't happen just like every other guy! http://www.sportingnews.com/yourturn/viewtopic.php?t=318643 -
Anyone hear this? This would be awesome! http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic...1131/SPORTS0201

Patrino is a jerk. He fits the SEC fit very well.

Peterson would be nice, but knowing our luck he would have torn his ACL already. Not taking anything from Peterson, but he does have Steve Hutchingson to run behind. I'm happy with the CJ pick. I think he will be a very good one.

Manningham going first round this year? I can't see that at all. I think he's 2nd round guy, and thats why he should stick around another year. I would love Jake Long like the rest of you, but he will probably go to NE...the rich get richer ): I hope the Lions take a OL, or some type of DB. Wouldn't mind Laurenitis either.... Henne is a all around better QB then Navarre at everything. Couldn't see it much this year because he was bitten by the injury bug, but watch games like Illinois, and MSU he shows 1st round talent. He won't go first round because of his senior year stats, and injury, but wouldn't be a bad 3rd round pick... Why does that draft have us taking Woodson? What's wrong with Stanton? Injury much worse then expected?

I don't believe a word of this Miles stuff. He said U-M contacted him so they could hear his thoughts on the search? Yeah right! That's why colleges have committees to start with. They were talking money, and their open job...no question about that. Won't be shocked if Miles comes back home after the bowl game. -
Let's hope he doesn't get special treatment because of his name. I hope he hates every second of it. I actually wish he would have got more jail time. Him and little Marcus are thugs.....

That explains it pretty good! I don't think it's fair to blame Carr though. It's not his choice. -

That doesn't mean jack! Read into Miles new contract. What does he have? He once again has a 1.25 million dollar buyout to Michigan. If Michigan wants to go hard after him they can get him if he wants to come here. -

Sadly compared to other guys out there why not bring him in?! Martin is going to go down as a huge loser on this. I still say we have hope for Miles..it's all we have left. -

I agree, but sadly he just rejected it. Good for him though. Shows what kind of guy he is to turn something that is better then Rugters in every way. Back to the drawing board -
I was just going to say that. I agree. Ilitch treated the Wings like the Yankees before the cap started. Now with the cap he treats the Tigers like he used to treat the Wings.

It's hands down Brady. Call my opinion biased, but it's all about rings. What do people always bring up when comparing Marino, and Elway? The rings. No doubt about it though both are GREAT QB's, and are fun to watch. Peyton is a better actor (:

I'm am so pumped for this! Only bad thing is zoom is hurt half the year, but we clearly have enough fire power to get through it!

That was one of the worst days of my life for sporting news! And of course September 1, 2007 Still kind of bummed Maybin is gone, but if we get a ring because of this deal I really could care less.
