    2007 College Football Season Talk

Speaking of pushing a broom.... how many credits is that at MSU?. You rip on Michigan Men for being arrogant, but it's okay for you? Yeah Harabaugh is right, but thats not the point. The point is he back stabbed his school, and thats not right. Yeah U-M allows kids who shouldn't be on the team according to grades, but what school doesn't besides MSU . Every school does except a handful such as Northwestern, Standord, ect.

    2007 College Football Season Talk

That is true. Majority of schools do it. If you are a major team you have to do it. This did happen months ago, but it's the first time someone has responded to Harabaugh's comments. I bet Jim wished he would have kept his mouth shut. He had a great U-M career. He gaurenteed victory over OSU, and backed it up. He had a solid NFL career, and literally erased all that according to U-M fans because of two sentences...it's really to bad.

    2007 College Football Season Talk

As usual? Mike Hart has opened his mouth twice in his career. After OSU he should have kept his mouth shut, but the guy was full of thousands of emotions. The recent comments I agree with 100%. Jim Harabaugh lost all my respect. He back stabbed Michigan, his alma mater just because Carr didn't hire him. If Bo was alive Harabaugh would have been eaten alive by him even though he's his mentour. Someone on the U-M side had to stand up, and speak...Hart did the right thing. The funniest thing about this is that Harabaugh ripped on U-M academics, and weeks later let U-M QB Jason Forcier transfer to Stanford. It's funny how things change so quick..just months ago Harabaugh was my No. 1 guy to replace Carr. Now he's miles from that.

    2007 College Football Season Talk

This is a very interesting school to add to the Big Ten. Besides the fact it makes no sense to me, and will never happen are besides the point, but some interesting stuff right here... If you're thinking contiguous states -- West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Louisville or Missouri -- start thinking outside the box. Way outside. Texas is known to be displeased in the Big 12, both because of a low revenue stream and a dearth of big-market, high-academic-profile schools such as itself. I would bet anything that if Delany and the Big Ten presidents can't court Notre Dame in a third try, UT would be a great fallback position. Six million TV sets in the state of Texas. And former Big 12 commissioner Kevin Weiberg's recent move to the Big Ten Network only adds to the intrigue. He knows about Texas' TV clout better than anyone. Now read this one.... After unsuccessfully courting the Pac-10] The Longhorns next turned to the Big Ten. Having added Penn State in 1990, the Big Ten was now made of universities that, in the view of UT officials, matched UT's profile - large state schools with strong academic reputations. Berdahl liked the fact that 10 conference members belonged to the American Association of Universities. Yet, distance remained a disadvantage. Iowa, the closest Big Ten school to Austin, was 856 miles away Â but the appeal of having 10 of 12 schools in the same time zone was seen as a plus. But after adding Penn State in 1990, Big Ten officials had put a four-year moratorium on expansion. Although admitting interest, Big Ten bosses ultimately rejected UT's overtures.

    NHL and ESPN talking

From reading some of the posts I think people need to relieze something. Some of you are mad that ESPN doesn't show enough hockey. That is true, and I agree, but if ESPN got the NHL back things would change. ESPN would show much more, because it is their product. Look at their NASCAR coverage compared to last year..why did they increase NASCAR high lights, and gossip so much?? Hmmm probably because ESPN will carry NASCAR in the next few years. They would do the same for hockey.

I agree with you totally, but after I did some researching and figured out UL/WV's academics are miles behind every single Big Ten school I don't think they can be an option.

Thanks...can't believe I forgot him. Anyone know if Teddy Lehman will ever play a role again? He was on track for some success until he kept getting hurt.

Who are the starting safties anyway? Bullock, and who else? I think Bullock can be good, but he has to read things quicker. Hopfully he went through all his growing pains last season.

CB's concern me too, but if you think about it this offense should be sick! Bell, Duckett, Johnson, Furrey, and Williams. If the OL, and Kinta don't totally suck they should be one of the best offensive teams with Martz calling the shots.

I'm having some kool-aid, but I think there are still to many holes on this team. I will predict 7-9...not to shabby.

    2007 College Football Season Talk

I think the Big 10 should add Louisville, or West Virginia. It would make the Big Ten a much better conference at football, and basketball. Big problems with these schools are their stadium size, and acedemics. What I think will happen: The ND contract with NBC ends in a few years. After this ends the Big Ten will make one final push for them. If they say no we head out east and go for Rugters. Heres another team to think about: Boston College. Great acedemics, solid in football/basketball, and is on the coast (which would expand the wanted coverage).

FBI Investigates NBA Ref. Tim Donaghy

I watched the Stern conference today on ESPNews, and had to laugh. One reporter asked Stern "You keep saying this is a isolated case, how do you know other refs are clean?".. Stern sat there for over 10 seconds with no answer, and then finally made up a bunch of bull crap that didn't even answer the question. He was lying up a storm!

FBI Investigates NBA Ref. Tim Donaghy

This isn't a shock to me at all. Suprised it didn't happen sooner. To this day I am convinced the Eastern Conference Finals were rigged 2 years ago. Wade got away with murder during that series, and everyone knew Stern wanted Wade/Shaq in the finals, and not the "boring" Pistons.

    Michael Vick

I TOTALLY AGREE!! I hate "Who's Now". They just need some excuse to give Stewart Scott some air time. I also agree with everything else in your post. I hope Vick goes to Prison big time. I'm not a animal rights freak, but no animal should be treated like that. Dog fighting is ridiculous....

I was reading about Splitter about 2 weeks before the draft, and I really thought he would be a solid player for us, but I am glad we took Affalo over him because I was sick of taking chances on tall Euros like Darko, Zebraca, and that guy from Greece (forgot his name)

    Detroit Pistons Season Thread

This is great news!! From NBA.com Stuckey was everything the Pistons envisioned and more. He created significant buzz among other NBA teams and personnel gurus in Las Vegas. If you reshuffled the deck and did the draft again, my suspicion is that Stuckey would go higher than 15th – maybe much higher. Mike Conley went fourth to Memphis and left a generally favorable impression in Las Vegas, but a debate over Conley vs. Stuckey is one I’d love to hear. As impressive as Stuckey’s tangibles were – the way he handled the ball and ran a team, the way he defended, the way he got to the basket and drew fouls, the way he shot it from mid-range and beyond – his intangibles are what really solidified the impression that the kid is going to help immediately. Stuckey flat-out took over games in the fourth quarter. Summer League or not, that’s significant.

Those are some very good points, and remember Redding was just moved to DT last season, and Marenelli thinks he could be the best DT in the leauge. I will trust him on that with his great resume of coaching the D-Line.
