I just thought of an idea. I've been thinking of people to replace Amaker with, and I finally found one that makes sense. Rudy Tomjonavich! I know he left the NBA because of health, but I did some research on it, and sounds like he's okay. He played for U-M, has won 2 NBA rings as a coach, and a gold medal.
-
Yeah he has pads like Marc Andrea Fluery, but last season was his first year starting.

Who's NMU's starting goalie? Zannaboni?
-
Thanks I thought his save % was higher, but I thought I shouldn't post something to high when I didn't know the exact number. As for Ferris, they have a young team. They have been up and down all year long. I really don't know how they put this win streak toghether considering their best player, starting goalie Mitch O'Keefe is out because he hurt his knee. Kind of off topic: After FSU beat Bowling Green tonight my buddy, and I went to the party store. There were 2 guys in front of us in line...those two guys were FSU goalie Derek MacIntyre, and his dad. They bought 2 fifths of Captain Morgan. Nothing like father son bonding after a game

Jakatis' save % is 92, which is great for a goalie, and considering LSSU's record it makes it that much better. I'm not sure I would vote for him either, but I think he should be considered. As for MSU...they are falling off the map. 3 straight loses to Ferris, and WMU is not good at all. If it makes you feel any better Ferris is smoking hot right now. They've won 5 of 6. Their only lose was to MSU in OT. All five wins have come with MacIntyre in net, their backup goalie. And this will probably make you feel way better...this is from insiders on my Rivals.com account talking about U-M hockey.. In talking to a few national hockey writers, they're not so sure. In fact, there are rumblings that the Wolverines' 16-year tournament streak is looking more bleak than in any of the previous few seasons. "At some point Michigan's reputation and ability to sell-out a venue won't work anymore," a source said. "Look at their record against ranked opponents [3-6-1]. Other than two against Michigan State, they don't have that many impressive wins. "On paper, there is some hesitation, and when you see them in person you're just left scratching your head and asking, 'Does this team really deserve a tournament bid?' Obviously it depends on the other teams on the bubble, but I don't think you answer that question, at least right now, with an overwhelming 'Yes.'
-
Jakatis does deserve it. He's does an amazing job. He's hands down the CCHA's best goaltender.

Heres the plan http://www.umich.edu/stadium/project-descr...on/designs.html Personally I'm with Red...make that thing huge. Rumor is Kyle Field will expand to 120, 000 within in the next 15 years. Might as well make it huge right now so no other school flirts with the idea

U-M needs 8 home games in order to stay on budget with the new Big House plans. AD Bill Martin has publicty said that, and thats why U-M got App State because only a handful of teams would travel. Yes you're right ND will be top 15 just because they are called Notre Dame. Yes it's a joke, but thats how people treat ND.
-
It's better just because of the chance of an upset. Look at last season when UCLA came to Ann Arbor....U-M was in it till the end. I think they lost by 8 points or something like that. The game went back and forth. UCLA is much more attractive then Wofford anyday.
-
Heres one I found on Mlive.... Give me a break........
-
Thats exactly right. I read somwhere U-M has the worst facilities in the Big Ten for basketball. They don't even have a practice court. People care a lot about U-M basketball, but would you go to a game when they are playing teams like Wofford, Maryland Baltimore County, and Delaware State? I know I wouldn't...it's a waste of time. If they brought more schools like UCLA/Georgtown to Crisler the place wouldn't have an attendence problem.
-
People who say were dodging the big boys are stupid. Were playing ND, and Oregon this year both teams will be ranked top 15. We had to take App State because no other teams would play. It was supose to be Vandy again, but they wanted a home and home so they cancelled last minute. Then it was going to be Hawiai, but they didn't want travel half way across the world and probably get killed (plus screw Colt Brennens Heisman chances) If FLA can go to a NC game by playing two I-AA schools I think it shouldn't hurt that bad considering the Big 10 will be better next year, and like I posted above we play Oregon/ND. Plus there are rumors floating around were trying to do a home and home with Georgia after the ND contract runs out (2010 I believe) That would awesome!

Nashville's record doesn't reflect it's team lately

Yes we have hope. Anything can happen in the playoffs -
What do you want Holland to do? Do you really want him to trade our young talent for a injury prone player past his prime? Holland was smart for not falling into this Forsberg trap. This isn't playstation. Trades take time, and many don't work out.
-
Sometimes the deals you don't make are the best ones. I really believe Holland did that in this situation.
-
I have family in Seattle, and last time I saw them was during the Stanley Cup Finals. They said hockey is way more popular in Seattle then you would expect. They are Canucks fans now, but if they got a team I'm sure that would change.
-
I take Bert over Forsberg anyday. Bert could literally kill Forsberg if he hit him open ice.
-
OFFICIAL: Forsberg traded to Predators

I don't know why people are so pissed at Holland. He tried to land him, and if it was for to much I'm fine they didn't get him. Although I would have loved to add him I think Nashville paid way to much. I only see this being a good deal for them if they get a cup out of it. -
Bring Hatch back?? Jeez if we do something dumb like that we might as well throw Cujo back in the mix too
-
I was just going to say that. I thought Moore went to U-M Flint, and then MSU (because he wears the hat all the time) They forgot to add President Gerald R. Ford
-
I see your point. The reason probably is Jimmy just came off an injury, and only has 2 games under his belt since coming. Another reason is Mac has worked his butt off, and been great about it all year. I assume they are paying his dues for him, and giving him a solid chance
-
I'm fine with Neitzel tearing us apart. I'm used to it since he did it twice a year for 4 years while I was in high school.
-
No I'm okay. I didn't think you meant that. Just making sure

I missed the U-M/MSU game tonight because I was at the Ferris/MSU game, but after seeing the score I'm glad I missed it. U-M basketball is a joke
-
Ferris beat MSU tonight! Best game I've ever watched while being at Ferris. In my opinion MSU played very conserative. They had under 30 shots with MacIntyre (backup) in net. FSU's goals were very pretty. Lerg had no shot at either.
