    CCHA Hockey

I don't know who has Jakaitis' rights. I tried to find it, but couldn't. If Billy Sauer was drafted Jakaitis has to be drafted by someone. I know Jim Roque through going to his hockey camps for years, and through my family. If no one on here can find it I can give him a call and see whats going on.

I was wondering who won that game. I saw it was in OT, but never heard after that. LSSU is a thorn is every opponents side just because of Jakatis.

Hey Cornell was the USC of that era Heres their records against every team. They have played Albion 17 times (16-1) http://www.mgoblue.com/document_display.cfm?document_id=3092 Thank goodness U-M is 1-0 vs American Medical..whoever that is

Decide to talk a little trash now that you got the Pizza Man coachign eh? The thing I find most funny is MSU played most those teams too back in the early 1900's, yet are not even close to U-M in all time wins. U-M: Most wins all time, most Big 10 titles, 11 national championships, 3 Heisman winners And the stat you should be most familar with: 65-28-5

    David Beckham joining LA Galaxy

I was wondering the same thing, but I do know that the 50 million includes endorsments. So maybe Nike, or some other big name company is paying for a big chunk.

    How are the Griffins?

Half full ins't bad. I'm glad to here about MacIntyre. I really apreciated all his hard work last season, and I was glad everytime he got a chance he capitalized on it. It reminded me of Legace a few years ago when we had a whole mess of good goalies.

    Detroit Pistons Season Thread

Looks like more Piston moves soon. This is from hoopsworld.com Ask anyone around the Houston Rockets and they will tell you Bonzi Wells has been a horrible fit, so it comes as no surprise that when the Detroit Pistons reached out to gauge interest in a swap bringing Bonzi to Detroit that Houston was all over it. The Pistons are looking to move a big man, likely Nazr Mohammed, and given Houston’s struggles with injuries in the front court Nazr could be a perfect fit. The challenge in making this deal happen is that when big men are offered deals come out of the woodworks – The Pistons are supposedly evaluating whether to trigger a Bonzi deal, a Morris Peterson deal with Toronto, a Marko Jaric deal with the Timberwolves or get serious and go after Corey Maggette. One thing is very clear, if the Pistons want Bonzi Wells they can have him for a sack of old Piston shirts and Houston will even pay for the airline ticket – it just does not seem Joe Dumars has decided who or what he wants to part with..

    Super Bowl XLI

I really can't get over NE. Whatever they are doing over there is amazing. They lose players to injuires, and FA all the time. They have no true No. 1 WR, and their DBs/LB's are questionable, yet they keep winning. Manning, Dungy, and Harrison all deserve rings though. I guess I don't really care who wins. If CHI wins I know for fact I want the AFC winner to take it all.

Oh well I thought we over paid Nazr anyway. I think we were just in desperate need of a big guy. I'll take Webber over Nazr anyday.

Webber to be Piston. Hopefully this can change the Pistons horrible play. The Pistons are way to good to be playing the way they are. Webber is a big upgrade over Nazr http://sports.espn.go.com/nba/news/story?id=2731833

    Super Bowl XLI

I really want Peyton Manning/Dungy to win a Super bowl, but how can I cheer against my boy Tom Brady?! Brady/Belichek are simply amazing. NE isn't even close to the talent of all the other AFC playoff teams, but they still win. How do they do it?! What is Brady's record in the playoffs? Like 12-1?? That has to be record

    David Beckham joining LA Galaxy

If Ronaldino came to the U.S I would probably die right there on the spot. I was in Central America/Mexico last year, and I watched probably 4-5 of his games. He's totally an amazing athlete. But with Beckham coming, and possibly Ronaldo that would be huge for U.S. soccer. I also heard Zedine (the head butter) has also expressed intrest.

    College Football

Michigan is stacked with offensive talent coming back with Henne, Long, Manningham, and Hart. As for defense it's another story...huge questions for the secondary (possibly 2-4 freshmen starting next year), and LB depth. The D-line is loaded even though Branch and Woodley will be gone. I think Dantonio is a solid coach. I think it will take 3-5 years though. State does not have much talent on the team right now, and isn't getting much due to a few very talented players (Nichol/Landinham) leaving because John L did. Also have to consider MSU has a handful of JUCO's on the team. JUCO's can be good for quick sucess, but it's not what you want when you're totally rebuilding a team like what Dantonio is trying to do. Doesn't Dantonio coach the Phenoix Suns too?

On Fox sports they said a lot could happen in the next few weeks for the Pistons. Many suprised me including the idea of firing flip, trading Sheed or McDyess, trading for Morris Petterson, or trading Dale Davis. Of course not all of these will happen...maybe not even a single one, but I would like to see Mo-P come of the bench, and Webber at center!

    Detroit Pistons Season Thread

If wet get Webber we will need to trade a big guy..I hope its not McDyess. If Webber comes though we are much better because Webber can play center and Sheed can go back to playing like he did when Ben Wallace was around. A starting lineup with Sheed, Webber, Prince, Billups, and Rip is a power lineup. Then coming off the bench is McDyess, Delfino, Murray, and Nazr...thats a good bench.

I don't like Chris Webber (obvious reasons) but I WANT him on the Pistons. After reading this article it makes perfect sense, and we would be a legit contender to everyone (not just us Piston fans) http://www.detnews.com/apps/pbcs.dll/artic...332/1004/SPORTS

I think so. Backus has had a decent career. From watching him at U-M though I expected a lot more of him. We were one draft choice short of drafting his college teamate Steve Hutchingson!!! Oh what could have been!

I absolutley agree...the only thing that scares me is the last time we took the "can't miss OL" from Wisconson he was a draft bust (thanks Aaron Gibson )

Yes it's at the Big House. You're right the last few times U-M went to the coast they have laid eggs, and struggled. I remember the Oregon game, and Washington game very well still. Both games they should have won. The Washington game was Navarre's first big game of his career...Washington was ranked in the top 15 (funny to say that now)

Good post. Next year U-M plays Oregon, and ND so strength of schedule should not be a problem (plus probably a couple mop up games like everyone else) Also good post by Chamber...I agree with it 100%

All your picks make perfect sense, but I can't see Thomas going that low. I don't think Alan Branch will be top 5, but I would be shocked if he slipped outside the top 10. Quinn to the Browns could also be a popular pick..hes from that area, and Clevland needs a QB to throw to Edwards and Winslow (the F-- SOLDIER!) I don't think Mareneli will draft a "star" he showed that by not taking Leinart. He wants all the "gridners" first...so Gaines, Branch, or some other guy like that makes perfect sense. I could see that the Raiders trying to trade Moss for a 1st round pick...just like the Vikings did, but you are getting in a mess with Moss so it probably won't happen. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but NE has 2 first round picks (I think). How about we trade our pick for their 2 picks. Then we can draft a DL...someone like Pittock from OSU or Quinten Moses from Georgia with one pick, and then go with a OL like Sam Baker from USC or Blalock from Texas.
