To U-M fans out there, Michigan will recieve a verbal commitment tommorow from QB Ryan Mallet, who is the No.2 QB in the nation only behind Jimmy Claussen (ND commit) This is great news for Michigan football! Some info on him- Texarkana Texas-6'7, 235lbs, 4.9 40yd....Was invited to the Elite 11 QB camp (seniors only) as a juinor to be a ball boy along with Jimmy Claussen. At the end of the week he beat all 11 QBs plus Claussen in the longest throw compition by throwing the ball 78 yards.

Hey Timothy- Your right about Conner Dixon, but I was actually reffering to Keith Nichol who is a QB from the class of 07 (Lowell Michigan). The kid is in the top 100, and IMO is a Stanton clone. I live in west michigan, and have got to watch him several times, he is a great QB.

Michigan State got a pretty good one too..whos the upcoming Buckeye QB anyway?? BTW Navarre holds almost every U-M QB record and is in the NFL. He's not that bad as U-M fans make him sound....

We really have to enjoy this year from the Pistons. These kinds of seasons or even teams hardly never come around. We are really lucky right now to have the Pistons/Wings be such powerhouses.

I'm glad the bench is playing more, but I still have a problem with it. Yesterday agaisnt the Knicks were killing them in the 3rd and all starting five are still in. WHY? Our season would be over if Sheed, Ben, or anyone else would just happen to fall on their ankle wrong. I would like to see what kind of potential Acker and Maxiel have.

I would be ashamed if Michigan wore those idiotic jerseys that Nike made for VT, and FLA during the bowl games. I like what they did to U-M's last year, but I hope they don't keep touching them. Looking at the pic, I think the OSU jerseys look fine. At least it's not a huge makeover......

Not to mention super ugly..but I guess that doesn't matter when you got tons of cash. Adding Hawk would be a steal with our pick, but I was thinking do you think Chad Greenway (Iowa) will still be around in the 2nd round? Getting Greenway would be almost as good as getting Hawk.

Alex Legion, one of the best juinor's in the whole country has de-commited from Michigan. This is a big blow, U-M needs a big name all american to come and play.

Lions need Huff, I think they can get him right where they are. Even though I don't like Hawk, I would love him if he slipped to us. Lets stay away from Young, I don't want to wait another 3 years just to see if we have a half way decent QB.

Anyone read the Kowlaski article talking about how many Lions players are already complaining about how hard Marineli's practices are? He didn't list names, but IMO it looked like he was hinting at Rogers, and Mike Williams...who by the way showed up to camp weighing way to much.....

Alright here I want an honest opinion here.....(Note: I'm not bashing MSU or saying U-M is better or anything like that by asking this so don't start) Should Izzo be to blame for this? I mean hes a great coach but this years senior class leaves with 0 big ten championships, and starts out ranked top 5 and never stays up there. I know he has had alot of tourny success but don't you think maybe he should change somthing with his staff or the way he does things? In my opinion MSU had the best starting 5 in the whole country, but half the time they didn't play like it because they played soft. Like I said above I'm not trying to make MSU fans mad, I just want to know your opinion.

Getting McCown is just like getting another Joey. 1- Both have showed potential 2- Both played for bad organizations, and did not have much talent around them 3- Both have played absolutley horrible over a stretch of games 4- Both were benched by a vet QB, and dissed by their own teamates. Does this mean McCown is going to suck? No, but don't think were getting a franchise player just yet......

Difference between Akili Smith and Jay Cutler is that Cutler has had a pretty good career on a lousy football team, while Smith basically had one very good senior season and that was about it. That is true, I guess we will see in 3-4 years

ENOGUH WITH CUTLER!!! Look in the past at QB's who become over night stars right before the draft ( remember Aklie Smith?) Cutler is getting to much hype because Leinart/Young hadn't had their workouts yet. To bad we couldn't get Culpepper (I'm know it was never a option)

Kitna may not be all that bad of move. Carson Palmer loves him to death, and if there is any hope left for Joey maybe Kitna can help him become a good QB. And if Joey doesn't work out, Kitna can start, and then we can focus on drafting a QB.

Now that our basketball is over I'm really excited for U-M football! Herrman finally went to the NFL (AKA was about to be fired), and I think English will be a good DC. Hopefully we can have a healthy Mike Hart and Steve Breaston.
