I'm waiting for U-M to turn the corner. Every time I think it's happening they fall apart. They are digging themselves in a deep hole. It's the first time in 4 years I've enjoyed working for Ferris' hockey team. They are 11-3-2. Would be 13-3 if the two shootout wins over Miami counted as wins nationally.

Sounds like Stoops was using ND as leverage for his current job. I read boosters want him to fire some of his assistants so that was his way of getting back at them. If Cincy loses to Pitt (they are at this point) it will be much easier for ND to hire Kelly.

You can't be serious. How do you figure? If anyone should be blamed for "costing a B10 title" it should be Narduzzi.

Can't argue that even though I don't think it is likely to go winless in B10 play. I'm just going to sit on the fence. I'm not going to tell you RR has the track record so that equals guaranteed success, or say there is no hope and he should just be fired right now. If you give him 5 years and he fails you have got the scholarship number back up to where it should be for the next coach. It also shows the next head coach the school will give you the required time, but you gotta win. What coach is going to want to come here if his job is in hot water after 2-3 years? If you give him 5 years, and everything works out we will look back on the last 2 seasons, and never take winning for granted again. I loved Lloyd Carr, but the final fews years I wanted a brand of football from this century therefore I can't complain about what is going on because I got my wish.

I would be SHOCKED if Gardner started next season. If he was enrolling early thats potentially a different story. Forcier will get another 15 spring practices, and it will be his 2nd year in the offense. That's a big time edge over Gardner. I do believe though that if RR is going to win big here his QB will be Gardner. You don't come across the Vince Young/Terrell Pryor type of QB's often.

Best Lions game I've watched since.....I have no idea. That was actually fun to watch. Stafford played with guts and heart today. That's encouraging. Hope he's okay.

I'm still all in. What is the worst that can happen now? After this year I've seen it all now. They need to fix the D fast, but I'm somewhat optimistic that can happen with the right coaching changes (assuming it happens). It will once again take patience though After settling down I'm just not getting why people didn't see this coming. Only 70 players on scholarship, majority of them sophomore eligibility or under. 3 walk-ons getting major minutes on the defensive side of the ball. 3rd defensive coordinator in 3 years. 2 true freshmen QB's. Never had our best RB 100% healthy all year, and lost our best OL for the season. This season sucked. Thankfully it's over.

The DC will be Greg Robinson. I think he is a good DC. He is making good plans, and the right adjustments but he has his hands tied behind his back with no depth, youth, and two horrible position coaches. No DC in the country could save this D, and thats a fact. RR needs to send two of his own packing, and let Robinson hire whoever he wants. If RR does this he will be investing his job in him, but it has to be done.

I know Kelly is the obvious target, but I would be surprised if they got him. Actually, I would be shocked. Kelly has some skeletons hidden in his closest or something. Michigan State didn't give Kelly a sniff when he was sitting in their backyard. No feelers, no interviews nothing at all. Michigan watches Les Miles and Greg Schiano slip through their hands, and they do the exact same actions as MSU. Something doesn't add up. If Kelly did goto ND I would be terrified. They would go on a USC/FLA type run of dominance. That would be hard to swallow since I grew up watching Kelly while he was at GVSU. I don't understand why ND fans want John Gruden. Haven't you learned your lesson from NFL guys? I would take a hard look at Paul Johnson...it would cause a lot of attrition, but thats expected anyways with coaching changes.

Wow I can't get over how loaded the CCHA is this year. This weeks polls have six teams ranked in the top 15 (Miami, U-M, ND, Alaska, UNO, and MSU). Plus WMU and Ferris are starting to receive votes. Pretty impressive. If you take out BG there isn't many gimmes on anyone's schedule.

Ditto!! I was suppose to go to the Big House yesterday, and after head to Yost to watch them play No. 1 Miami, but work was in the way (My brother took my place). Blessing in disguise...I would have lost it watching both those games in person.

Oh for sure. I agree with you on Moeller. That was well deserved. I have mixed feelings on Carr being AD. I don't think Carr has the ability to handle things financially, but he would be a good representative for the school. In today's college sports you gotta keep pumping money into programs to make the surroundings elite, while still making money somehow. It's a tricky spot. People can say what they want about Martin, but no one can deny he was one of the few masters at handling the financial side of athletics.

Yes there are, and it's been that way forever. The "old guard" as they call them. A bunch of morons with too much power who should be banned from U-M. These people tried to force Bo into retirement early, tried to get Carr fired after the Tennessee bowl game, got Moeller fired, sabotaged Les Miles coming here, and now hate Rodriguez. Thats the short version. The way to make them go back and hide in their hole is to win. Thats how Bo/Carr got rid of them at least.

Yes of course, but next year they are getting a new AD so that may be interesting. If Bill Martin was around he would get 5 years minimum, but who knows with the new guy. He may want his own guy.

I am still fuming from yesterday. I've had RR's back for a year and a half, and have been "All In" so to speak, and this is what I'm getting in return? Getting wasted by Illinois is UNACCEPTABLE!! This team is super young, this team lacks so much depth, this team is still installing new systems on both sides of the ball, and this team has 2 true freshmen QB's. I DON'T CARE!! All those are legit excuses, but I'm done with them period! None of those excuses can be used for yesterday's pathetic performance. Not a single one. Bottom line is this team isn't improving..it's actually going backwards, and thats on coaching. Is RR going to end up as college football's Billy Gillipse? Wow, I pray not but I'm starting to get some big time concerns.

Why do I love college football? Why do I put myself through this? Who the hell is Mikel LeShoure? Where is the Tate Focier I once knew? Where is Forcier's Swagger? Where is Denard Robinson? Were 2 walkons really starting on defense? Do we even have a defense? Why did Juice Williams look like Troy Smith? Did we really just lose to Ron Zook? Where is my gun?

Brandon Graham is a senior. Can't argue about how RR views his defense. I think it's obvious he cares about it, or else he would have not made changes already, but I think he's pretty hands off about it. Don't know if thats the way to go, but we will find out sometime in the future. It will be a while because that D is awful, and I really believe a lot of the problems have nothing to do with coaching (besides the defensive backs). Robinson uses hybrid players, and we had none when he came. Plus there is zero depth. There are 4 walk ons who are 2 deep. MSU also has Fred Smith who could step up. He was all world in HS, but I heard last season he showed up out of shape but that could have all changed over the year. I haven't heard anything about him this season, but MSU doesn't have a WR problem so it's understandable why he isn't playing much. Blair White is a great story, and so is Martin. If you haven't read about Martin you should look it up. Looking in hindsight, maybe Nichol should have never transfered with Bradford getting hurt. You could actually look even farther back. If Nichol never decommits from MSU when Dantonio took over Couisins would be at another school because MSU would have had Nichol along with Foles (who is now gone obviously).

Hmmm...thats a hard one. I'm leaning towards yes, but before the year I thought 8-4. If 7-5 includes beating OSU then it's a big time yes, because that will set up some big time momentum. Either one though is way better then 3-9. Plus this team loses only 6 starters total (7 if Warren goes pro). 85 players are sophomores or younger so there is a lot to be learned still.
