That is true they could end up 0-4, or maybe even 4-0 but I'm sure it will end up in the middle. It's too hard to tell with this team. It depends how you view them. If you really like this team you could say they could be 7-1. If you are skeptical like me you could say they could be easily 4-4 or worse.

There is no difference between "not being on the same field", and a "game that could have gone either way". A lose is a lose. You don't get bonus points for keeping it close, and you still feel the same way afterwards so I don't see your point. I also don't know why U-M needs to win Saturday in order to go bowling. They need one win, and have what four games left?

Yeah I saw that. He is a stud. Don't wanna break your heart, but that guy should be in a Spartan uniform. I still don't know how he isn't. Oh, and fun fact... the coach from Bama who sealed the deal on Ingram: Bobby Williams. And seriously give Big Ten teams bye weeks again! That DSU game was so horrible to watch. It's cool seeing scout guys who bust their butts off actually seeing the field, but besides that there are no positives for this.

Was it Bear Bryant that said every freshmen you start equals a lose? Well, whoever did say it their theory proved true the last 2 weekends. That stuff is expected though...

OSU impressed me last year when I watched them. I think they will have another solid season despite their start. Thought Carlson was kind of an ass on the ice but he backed it up, and I think he's a good goalie. Some big surprises right off the get go in the CCHA. OSU got swept by Quinnipic (sp??), U-M dropped one to Alaska, Ferris got shutout by Canicus, and ND lost to Alabama Huntsville. I guess thats hockey though!

If Minor was 100% healthy all season he would be leading the Big 10 in rushing. No doubt in my mind. The best he has been this year is probably 90% against ND/Iowa. I haven't seen a guy run like that in U-M uniform since the A-Train. He runs so violently. Mark Ingram, and John Clay are solid choices though. Okay, and obviously Joe McKnight assuming he hangs on to the ball...

Wow, not too happy with Rodriguez after that game. I think his stubbornness got the best of him at the end. Yeah, Forcier was not playing well, and making some dumb mistakes, but we needed 40-50 yards and with the clock scenario we needed to be passing. Passing is not Robinson's strength (not yet at least). Forcier has lead us from behind 3 times...he's a gamer. You don't sit the gamer on the bench in those situations. I'm still happy with the effort though. This team lacks talent in a lot of areas, but don't quit ever even after 5 turnovers. And I wouldn't trade a 100% healthy Brandon Minor for any other RB in the nation. That guy is a horse!

I kind of agree. I've been thinking reality is gonna set in for Michigan sooner or later, but with that said I think Iowa is beatable for sure. Illinois needs to can Zook. All he can do is recruit, and thats it.

Thanks for the link. I knew I was missing it during the Tigers. That's a tragic story. I don't care what team you love or hate...there is no one on earth that deserves that.

Even though it sucked that was probably the best baseball game I've ever watched. I don't think you can point fingers tonight. It was just 2 teams giving it their all. If you want to point fingers you can blame them for going 1-5 against the Royals down the stretch.

I agree on the Jimmy Clausen talk. I'm surprised he isn't brought up more because there are no clear cut guys out there for the Heisman this season. Heck, not even a solid list. Okay...real thoughts on the game after watching it today. -MSU deserved to win. No crying here. We got outplayed for over 3 quarters, and somehow climbed back in it. -Too many dropped passes. -Tate's clutch plays are no fluke. He has it, but will he survive the whole year? -Still mixed feelings on the D. I think were jamming a few square pegs in round holes because of lack of depth/personal -I know what I said about Nichol, but as of now why is MSU still toying with 2 QB's? Seriously.... -Kovacs. Great story! Was a student and tried out last year, barely makes it then makes 15+ tackles against MSU. Yes, it shows how horrible the depth is, but it's still really cool to see. -I really believe if our D played first in OT the outcome would have been different, but we didn't get it, and the rest is history. -Were 4-1. I would have taken that in a heart beat if offered to me before the season started. Iowa will be interesting to say the least....

Alright heres my thoughts to the game... -Entered East Lansing at 6 A.M. First Bud Light is cracked at 6:10. -I'm walking down Grand River Ave or whatever it's called, and somehow stumble across 2 tickets for 50 bucks each. I'm jacked. It would have also been my first away game. -10:45 comes around all my beer and jager are gone. -Go to get more, and get lost. Come across some Spartys giving away free beer so naturally I stop for a session. -Never made it to the game. -Then went to some bar called The Post to watch the game. -3 Mixed drinks later my girlfriend and I are kicked out for "too much stumbling". I swear it was all her fault. -Miss the whole 2nd quarter walking around trying to find another place. -Finally find a place to crash and watch the game....don't remember any of it until Michigan's game tying drive. -Now it's 9 PM and I have the worst headache ever. I got it on Tivo so I'll watch it tomorrow.

Season for what? Underachieving? Speaking of frauds...I think Dantonio fits that mold. He makes people believe he owns the state for recruiting, that MSU will play in Rose Bowls with him, and all his other garbage. When in reality he's barely over .500 as a HC at Cincy/MSU.

I am so torn about this Saturday... Optimism: -MSU's D sucks -CMU/U-M pretty much have the exact same playbook -Revenge for last year -I think MSU's musical QB experiment is killing them -If MSU goes down early they might throw in the towel because of the last 3 weeks -When Rodriguez had his system in place he lit up Dantonio's teams Concerns: -Our D is probably worse -MSU's WRs will be a nightmare for us minus Warren. Plus both QB's can air it out -Forcier's first road game....a road game in a hostile environment. -Molk/Minor's injuries -This is a must win for MSU, and they treat it like their Super Bowl no matter what's going on anyways -Minus the ND game, and the first half against WMU we have not played well. We are dodging bullets, and reality could be on the horizon for this team.

I agree, but thats apart of the business. Big schools want home and homes, and U-M can't do that if they want to pay off the renovation on time. I wish they would have not agreed to that 1,000 year extension with ND, and taken that 2 year break then they would have options. Uconn could be an interesting game though I guess....

The last 2 weekends Robinson has come out with great adjustments after half. Haven't seen adjustments like those since Jim Herrmann was in his prime as a DC. That's great to see. Hopefully we can just get some good pieces for him on the recruiting trail. As for U-Dub I think Sark is going to do big things there. Someone needs to challenge SC.

Feels good to be 3-0, but I got a lot of concerns. I don't think there are hardly any locked wins on the remaining schedule. I think Greg Robinson is an outstanding DC, but it's clear he doesn't have everything he wants on his side of the ball. The D-Line really scares me because we can't stop the run period. MSU, Iowa, PSU, Wisc, and OSU could murder us with this. I don't know what's more concerning...Brandon Graham having 0 sacks, or the other 3 guys not taking advantage of Graham being double/tripled team most the game. With 2 true freshmen QB's you can't expect to win shootouts every weekend. I also love the giant strides the offense has made in just a year, but I wonder how much of it comes from the opposing defenses. EMU's D is flat out horrible, and WMU's is maybe average. I thought ND had a very legit D, but after watching MSU drop 30 on them I guess I'm wrong. It will be interesting to see what they do against a good defense. As for other games this weekend: 1) Ryan Mallett, wow what a stud. Top 10 pick someday. If he ever grows up watch out. 2). I felt really bad for Couisins. He failed miserably the last 2 plays, but he was the reason they were in the game if you ask me. 3). Nice to see the former student beat the teacher yesterday in Washington!
