Both NHL Central Scouting and The Hockey News had Tkachuk above Zadina just before the draft. TSN, for one, had Zadina at 2 and Svech at 3 at some point, but I dont think that anyone really ever believed that. Pretty much every draft I saw had Zadina and Tkachuk both going in the top 5. In other words, they were considered an equally good prospect.

Small sample size. Not every guy lights it up on a new team right away. We'll see how he does next year starting fresh. -
Actually, the reason he dropped to 6th is because Dahlin and Svech were clearly better players and Montreal and Phoenix coveted a center more than a winger. Ottawa could have picked Zadina or Tkachuk They chose Tkachuk, who was arguably an equal pick at that position. It's not like he dropped in favor of lesser players at his position.

I couldn't disagree more. I paid a couple hundred bucks between tickets, parking, concessions, and souvenirs to see a game earlier this season, and I sure as h*** didn't go to the game to watch them lose.

Lol. I was joking (mostly). I dont agree wirh making profit thru illegal or immoral means, but D Mac is making money from an event that he was a major part of. I have no problem with that. And what he does with that money that he has rightly earned is his business.
