You guys realize that Cholowski has never played more than 55 games in a regular season in his life? (Its game 56 coincidently) The last 3 years he's played 32, 37, 37. So....maybe he's being given a night off because he needs one? Playing the kids is great, but please explain how killing them is good for their development? I know. The oppurtunity to bash the Coach blinds us to reasonableness sometimes.

Disagree here. Jensen is a decent, reliable 3rd pairing D and a right handed shot. He also is still relatively young. The draft pick that Holland would get back by trading him wouldnt be high enough to make it worth trading him IMO. In Jensen's case, the player is worth more than the potential of the return. Just re-sign him instead.

Cant re-sign Kronwall and Jensen and keep Hronek on the roster. Re-sign Jensen. Retire Kronwall. Cholo-Green, Daley-Hronek, DeKeyser-Jensen, E.

All 3 will likely be on the roster next season. No reason to bring back Kronwall. There isnt anything left for him to bring that cant be replaced by others already on the roster.

Don't get me wrong, I am all for Holland stepping aside or leaving and handing the team over to Yzerman. I agree with you there, it's time to move on. I just believe in giving credit where credit is due. Ignoring the successes of an individual and only pointing to the negatives while only praising the same successes of another is completely biased and unfair IMO. Nothing wrong with wanting a change, so do I. But I am not going to call Yzerman already a better GM than Holland. Its too soon for that. And frankly, I think that both Yzerman and Nill doing well in GM positions only bolsters Holland's legacy as they both learned their craft under him.

Nyquist, Howard, and Jensen are the only ones who should be re-signed.
