Trading within the division would require a larger package going back. They would want a 2019 1st for sure. Nylander isn't a good enough of player to give up a chance at Hughes IMO.

I agree with the writers 2020 list. Noone of significance would be lost there. I disagree with the 2021 list. Nielsen would not have to be protected over Svechnikov or Smith even with the NMC. He only has one year left on his deal at that point. He could just be bought out which would only cost 2/3 of the remaining contract over 2 years. That would make the most sense.

We would not be a .500 team with ANY coach. The talent just isn't there. Its not like this is a good team. Quenneville on the other hand, has way too much talent to be a .500 team. That's why he was fired.

So, don't give any love to players who were struggling and are starting to turn it around... who are scoring...and wear an "A"...over a meaningless point...for a rebuilding team...which might teach the kids that results equals rewards...and more opportunities...cuz we need 2 points...it was obviously about winning...nothing more...cuz Blashill can't coach...especially kids... where am i going with this...i don't know...
