Red Wings front office rumors from CBC

I think it's one of those made up jobs they give to former players until they prove that they can do one of the real jobs. Didn't Chelios have one of those?

Red Wings front office rumors from CBC

Fischer is fine in his role. Don't see him as a future GM or anything. Same with Horcoff. I predict Kronwall to be with the team long term probably get Fischer or Horcoffs job one day.

I dont consider it an overpayment. If last year is going to be the norm, and he's going to be a regular on the 3rd line, the contract is fine.

    2021 Training Camp, PTO's, Pre-Season Chat

Ticket prices for TC went up $5 to $10 per day this year. Plus all the hotels in TC double or even triple their room rates during the Prospects Tournament and Training Camp. Gonna have to cut back this year.

Vaccines create active immunity through immune response and antibody production just like contracting the infection/disease does. The only difference is that the latter creates natural immunity, while vaccines create induced immunity. In either scenario, a person who has the antibodies to a specific disease (whether thru natural or induced immunity) can and sometimes will still become infected from the disease thru exposure to it. Science and medicine have never claimed otherwise. The advantage to vaccine immunization is that the antibody response prevents the infected person from becoming seriously ill from the infection. So even an unvaccinated person who was infected and recovered can still be reinfected and become an asymptomatic carrier and spread the disease to others. It's not just vaccinated people. It's ANYONE with ACTIVE immunity. And you cannot spread CoVid thru the vaccine. It does not use the actual virus to create immunity. Vaccinated carriers are a result of becoming infected with the virus after vaccination, not because of the vaccination. That is the entire point of vaccines. To give as many people as possible active immunity, without having to suffer the dangers of a full scale infection. If everyone has active immunity, either thru vaccination or contraction, then the disease becomes eradicated, and no one else gets sick and dies.

Buffalo has a strong hockey following, but its still a smaller market. And pulling fans from the other side of the border doesnt work for the Sabres, like it does the Bills, as Buffalo is located so close to the most popular hockey team in the world. Buffalo is also a blue collar city, so enticing fans to shell out a couple hundred bucks to attend a game, isn't an easy thing to do. Perhaps their biggest problem is ownership. Pegula may be the 2nd worst NHL owner behind only Melnyk. And since dung balls run down hill, it's not surprising this team has been bad for a while. Arizona is different tho. It was a large market with a lot of money to spend. Phoenix's population was booming at the time the Jets were relocated there. And although the native population were not hockey fans, the league was counting on the influx of ex-pats from Northern markets to generate support for the team and fill the seats. Essentially the same plan that was used for the Vegas expansion. But there were major hurdles for AZ that Vegas didn't have. First is the arena issue. It was built in Glendale, a NW suburb of Phoenix. The Phoenix Metropolitan Area has 4.5 million residents spread out over 6 different cities. It is vast. And many of the fans attending the games were driving from the East Valley Area, which was a long commute to attend games. If they had built their arena in a better location, like downtown Phoenix, like the Suns, the drive would have been much more palatable for even casual fans. But that was never going to happen since the city of Phoenix was not going to pay to erect 2 arenas. But Scottsdale or Tempe would have been much better options. The Coyotes also started off with bad ownership and management, and a mediocre team on the ice, which did nothing to generate a bigger local fan base. Vegas found almost immediate success because they were superior in all of those areas from day one. With a new billionaire owner, who has a strong history of successful turnarounds, I think the Arizona Coyotes will finally succeed in the desert SW, just as Vegas did. So long as they can get the arena issues resolved, and bring in better management. Both of which I think will get taken care of very soon, if Alex Meruelo's past business ventures serve as a predictor.

Agreed. If we were talking about signing him as a free agent, that would be fine. You could just LTIR if need be. But giving up an elite prospect and potentially one or 2 more high end players in draft picks, would be a disaster if he couldn't play. You'd have to start the rebuild over. What about a 10 incher?

    So, Evander Kane...

Yeah. A few hundred rioters represent the entirety of 75 million Trump voters. Just cant help yourself with the group identity politics. That is so MSM. The actual truth is that the majority of GOP voters do not support what happened on Jan 6th. Is a Police shooting newsworthy? Absolutely. Does it justify the entire ACAB narrative? Of course not. But the MSM pushes that narrative anyway. Does the 0.0000027% of Police interactions that result in the death of a civilian prove a systemic problem or a broken system? Okay LeBron. Where did I say there weren't problems? I didn't. I said the system isn't "broken". Because it isn't. Show me any real data that says otherwise. No "system" is perfect. Improvements can and should always be made. That's a big difference.

    So, Evander Kane...

Double-edged sword. Pay too well, and you get too many people doing it only for the money. That wouldnt get the intended results.I di I disagree. Improvements can definitely be made, which takes more money, not less. But I wouldnt call the system "broken" when you consider how rare Police involved shootings really are (despite the MSM narrative). Rule out the ones that are justified, and I would argue that you actually have a lower incompetency rate among Police Officers than many other professions.

800,000 cops nationwide. 375,000,000 contacts with civilians annually. 1000 people killed by on duty police officers per year. 275 police officers killed in the line of duty in 2020. Yeah. "Storm Troopers".

Tell that to the 104 cops, since 2005, charged with murder or manslaughter resulting from on duty incidents.
