I am for sure not driving to see training camp in January. -
Yes if they're paying thousands of dollars more for a watch that is still essentially stainless steel.
-
The ones that aren't in styles made by the official supplier at the time are almost always knockoffs. Occasionally you might see a Mitchell & Ness or something, but if its a jersey style you've never seen before, its often Chinese. I won't buy "knockoffs" if they're just cheap copies of actual legit jerseys, but I will buy them if I see them in a style or pattern that isn't available thru legitimate sources. I've collected about 30 different Wings jerseys this way. I got that. I was responding to Ninelegs by proxy.

Because any society void of caring for one another is doomed to fail. Imagine how successful a hockey team would be if each player only cared about themselves and had no interest in the rest of the team. "Don't care if we win or lose, I just wanna get paid." That never works. Those teams never win. "I don't care how many other people die, I just don't wanna wear a mask" is pretty much the same thing.
-
TL;DR
-
So if I care enough about my fellow man to wear a mask to help protect others, does that make me less of a man?
-
I see you're at it again.

Can I just say that I appreciate the perspective of the Euro Bros who post here? You guys get to see more of the games in the European leagues and it's nice to get news from over there. One of the things I've always liked about the Wings is their international appeal. I remember the Russian 5 back in the 90's bringing in fans from Russia, the Swedish fetish of the 00's and 10's bringing in fans from Sweden, and now I look forward to bringing in fans during the 20's from Germany and the Czech Republic as our prospects become our future stars. Brisebois?

isn't acquiring draft picks a fundamental part of rebuilding? Aren't you also the one always advocating for trading the whole roster for draft picks and then acquiring players only to trade them for draft picks?
-
Lol. So now we're basing the futures of every Czech league player on Jiri Hudler?
-
All this talk about licking balls and slapping peepees is making me uncomfortable.

Johnson and Killorn for a 2nd

Weren't you the one who was just asking for an adult opinion?

We'll find out when it happens. In the meantime, I don't expect Seattle to get a goalie with a MAF pedigree. I don't expect Francis, or their coaching staff, to do as good of a job as Vegas did. I also don't expect Seattle to find the number of gems in the expansion draft that Vegas did. I also don't expect Seattle to gel as well as a team as Vegas did. I just think there's too many things that have to happen just right to repeat Vegas' success, and I think Seattle repeating what Vegas did is unlikely, though certainly not impossible.

You at least hovered. -
Backpedaling? Where? When? You think that Seattle is going to end up with a 3 time Cup winning goalie and be traded a pick to take them? You think teams won't be better prepared this time around? You think Seattle is going to overachieve at every level (GM, coaching, roster) the same way LV did? Okay. You stick by that. I'll stick with logic and likelihood.

I was going to joke about Goldberg becoming the underdog team's reclusive coach. I'm not so sure now he could even play the rink's janitor. At least the spam is getting better. -
Are you sure? I must have missed that. If you would like to, there are numerous articles available that discuss it. Google "How did the Golden Knights get so good" or something similar to that and you'll find numerous links that discuss it. Cliff Notes: 1.MAF 2. Bad player management by teams like CBJ, FLA, and Anaheim. 3. Expansion players playing far better than anyone expected. 4. Team gelling way better than expected considering none of the guys had played together before. 5. Unexpected flat salary cap in place for the next season that left several teams scrambling.

Mighty Ducks reboot coming. Plot twist: the Mighty Ducks are the enemy. -
Really? I'm not going to repeat examples that I know you've already been given. Read the last couple pages.

So basically nothing. Which is exactly what SY paid for him in the first place. Would've liked to have seen what he could do with a regular roster spot and ice time before dumping him tho. If he played well there could have been a pick coming back. Even if he didn't play well, the return would have still been the same.
-
FIAT owns Chrysler now, soooo.
-
The points you mentioned are exactly why SY doesn't hold all the power. There are other teams who could make such a deal too. And if SY is expecting a bigger return because of division, couldn't Brisebois just make a better deal for himself with a team outside the division? This is also the kind of deal that Seattle would be all over next summer..
