If you've ever been to Vegas, you would know that sometimes you hit the jackpot when the odds say you shouldn't. Vegas had a lot of things fall just right from the beginning. They literally "got lucky". I mentioned several of them already. Expecting a 2nd expansion team to be able to repeat what Vegas did is like expecting a team that just won the Cup to repeat that feat the next year. Even the best team needs a little "luck" on their side to win. No one expects things to fall the same way again.

Lol. It was only 12 years ago. I had to wait til 97 to see my first one. I can wait a little while longer for the next one.

Nah. Gotta disagree here. Sociopaths are smart enough to know what emotions are appropriate to display based on a given situation. They learn this thru observation. The mentally challenged can't observe and copy mental functions above their ability. He likely wouldn't make more to play in Europe.

Playing with a defensively responsible forward might allow Niederbach to focus more on scoring. Yzerman with regret the day he let that stud get away.
-
Because a team void of high end talent is typically not very good. We literally have decades of professional sports that prove it.
-
Sociopaths are generally void of feelings. They learn to fake them tho.

Lol. I was joking. Germans can make all words masculine for all I care.

Yes, but you have to admit that a roster made up of 2nd tier players SHOULD NOT be a playoff team, let alone a Cup finalist. I seriously question why you would think that another franchise built presumably the same way should expect the same result as their predecessor when logic says otherwise.

Not bold at all. Teams will protect their best players. Seattle is still getting 2nd tier players at best. They're not getting top line forwards or top pair D, but still lots of middle 6 F and 2nd/3rd pair D. That's not playoff caliber, but still better than being bottom feeders. I don't think that's a particularly "bold" prediction.

assigning genders to words is transphobic

1.Vegas was able to take advantage of some teams who hadn't prepared for the expansion draft as well as they should have. You won't see that happen again. Teams will be better prepared this time around. 2. Vegas brought in some guys who played way better than anyone expected when given bigger roles. That's unlikely to happen again. 3. Vegas, as a team, way overachieved. I wouldn't call it "lightning im a bottle", but something close to that. Vegas should not have been that good with that roster. They haven't repeated that measure of success since, which you would expect if they were really that good. The likelihood that Seattle repeats any of what Vegas was able to do is small. They won't be a 20 win team, but they won't be a playoff team either. Totally. I won the lottery once, therefore I should expect to win everytime I play. That's logic.

Yeah. Cuz guys who get picked in the first round always end up better than guys drafted in the 2nd. Those idiot scouts, analysts, and general managers, how could they not know this 5 years ago?
-
Why? Are you trying to set back the rebuild? Seattle won't be another Vegas. Better than historical expansion teams, but what Vegas did won't be repeated.
-
Its basically their white jersey with no red on the arms and the striping done in silver. Whoop-de-doo

I think they wanted to add a 3rd color and the light grey was the most neutral. I never understood why people like Nordiques logo. An igloo with a hockey stick and puck. Zero creativity. The Fleur de Lis was a much better logo IMO. He's back. Its supposed to be a retro to the 98 team. That jersey is all Marty LaPointe.

Holland did not trade anyone who would likely still be on the team now, nor anyone who would be an integral part of the current rebuild. Giving up middle six forwards, low end prospects, and draft picks are what playoff teams do. Both of the Legwand and Cole trades resulted in playoff appearances, meaning KH got exactly from it what he wanted. That's not "fleecing". And Holland stopped making TDL trades to bolster the roster when it was clear that the team was no longer a playoff team and needed to change focus. Does anyone actually believe that Holland NOT making those trades would have resulted in a better team? They were trades that made the team better then, and have zero to do with the team now. Time to get over it.

The current logo has 2 wings coming off the wheel. So you're wanting Ohio State jerseys then?
-
So its really the "top 101 defensemen of all time".

I wasn't in the Math, Latin, or Physics Clubs like the original Neomaxizoomdweebie here.
-
Not a superstar, but clearly better than anyone else on the team at his position.
-
I think its safe to say that the Wings centers, as a group, suck.
-
And yet, here we are. Would you want any centers (including Fabbri) on this team, besides Larkin, as your full time 2C?
-
You didn't know me during my high school years.
-
So what you're saying is.....all of our options at C, after Larkin, suck.
