But the league also cracks down harder on the physical stuff now that they didn't used to. It's easier for smaller players now, because guys are less likely to delve out big hits on them for fear of fines and/or suspensions.

I wasnt high on him initially, but now that we're not getting Laf or Byfield most likely, he's a nice consolation prize.

I would be ok with that. Frankly, I'm hoping LA or OTT take a guy that isn't Stutzle or Byfield so that one of them falls to us.

For exactly the same reason he got booted from the top 6 in Detroit. Everybody hated on Blashill for demoting him. But in reality, Blashill did what almost every other NHL coach would do with the same player.

I forgot to mention that both were reported to be uncoachable. From what I remember. I could get 30 goals playing with Draisaitl and McDavid. Not saying much.

Not playing in the bottom six he won't. Flashes of brilliance. Periods of suck. Convinces multitudes of Wings fans he's the next big thing, then isn't. Turns out to be pretty unremarkable in the end. Like Mrazek.

Rossi will be a center. Stutzle will be a pivot, playing more on the wing. Lundell sounds like another Larkin. We need better. No. Just not a homer. Somewhere in between.

For every Carey Price there is a Rick DiPietro. You DO NOT use a 4th overall pick to fill a hole that can easily be filled in free agency. You use a 4th overall pick to draft players that are never available in free agency. That is all.

1. If Nielsen is bought out, the team will need another Center. 2. Gagner would be a cheap 1 year signing. 3. Teams are looking for veteran depth at the TDL, and Gagner would easily get a 3rd round pick. 4. Aren't you the one who always wants to trade everyone for draft picks, including depth players for late round picks? Thats not true. His fat butt fills the entire net. Not me. It gonna happen.

I wouldnt mind re-signing Gagner as the 3C if Nielsen gets bought out. Veleno isn't ready yet, and Moose will probably play wing. Glendening will be re-signed. Of course they could get around exposing him by waiting until July 1st to do it.
