Sv pct still isnt all that accurate either tho. I expect a guy with bad D in front of him to have a lower % when he's getting peppered with higher % shots from in front. The 2 stats seem to go hand in hand for that reason. Can't think of a guy with a high GAA that has a good SV%. If one sucks, they usually both do. Edit: I guess I should say its harder to evaluate a G on a bad team as both stats are usually bad. You would get a better idea with a better defensive team as GAA may be lower, and SV% would be more telling. Guess what I am saying is that bad teams make bad goalies, and they're easier to judge when defense is taken out of the equation. But there isnt a stat that factors in the quality of defense to my knowledge?

There were 9 people on board, and no survivors. Among the dead was Kobe Bryant and his 13 year old daughter, Gianna. There was also a family of 3 killed in the accident, a 13 year old girl and both of her parents. There was also another 13 year old girl on board as well. Regardless or your personal feelings about him, (Kobe was both loved and loathed) this is truly a tragedy nonetheless. The Bryant family has lost a father and husband, a daughter and sister. I just wanted to express my condolences to the families of all of the victims of Sunday's tragedy. And I wanted to give other LGWers the opportunity to do the same.

There's only one, maybe 2 guys on that list that list who would ever be considered "elite". Several of them had long, unspectacular NHL careers. Some never panned out at all. A couple are too young to yet evaluate. But, even if Zadina turns into the player even you have admitted he will be, he wouldn't even be close to a bust considering the company he has at that draft spot.

Serious question: why did Yzerman make the trade? Answer: He thought that an actual NHL player would benefit him more than a player who only possesses the "potential" to be an NHL player. It very well could turn out to be a bad trade, no one is disputing that. But to already declare this a bad trade because Perlini has 0 goals is dumb because you know who else has 0 goals? Regula. And a 4 year NHL player still beats a never was. If both players stopped playing tomorrow, who wins this trade? You know this. As I said before, SY could lose this trade. Fact. The jury is still out on the Perlini deal. If Regula makes the NHL and has even a mediocre NHL career, we lose that trade. If Regula never makes the NHL, we win that trade. An NHL player beats a non-NHL player in every trade. And I don't know why you're even arguing the Fabbri trade. Yzerman won that trade the day he made it. Forget the names or teams involved. A waiver wire pick up 13th/14th depth forward with 37 points in 223 career games... Traded for... A young middle 6 developing former 1st round draft pick with 96 points in 198 career games and has his name on the Stanley Cup. Who wins that trade? I know you know the answer.

The reason you make that trade is because you're Steve Yzerman. And you're the former GM of the team Erne just came from. And you know his potential better than anyone else. And you think that there might still be some room for the 24 year old to grow into a better player. And he might benefit from a new start. And the likelihood that a future 4th rounder becomes a better hockey player than a young 2nd round draft pick who has already established himself as a bottom 6 forward is very small.

I don't think he's in it for the money cuz they haven't sued....yet. Or it could be they have no case, so no lawyer will touch it. I get the feeling that he was expecting some kind of preferential treatment at the event cuz he's a season ticket holder and didn't get it.
