U don't know what alcohol is for? Drinking and getting buzzed. Fool -
Yzerman's first two picks this June were D men. (who will both be better than Regula but that's not my point). He's going to continue to draft defensemen. HIS type of defenesmen. And then we'll have a log jam of guys in a 2-3 year draft window all competing foe two or three jobs. And then some guys won't get to play in the NHL or AHL. Then you have to waive them. Or trade them for diminishing returns. A good GM will thin the pipeline proactively. Yzerman appears to have the brains/ballz to make these types of decisions. Holland rarely did. I agree about Hintz/Vasilevsky. Who knows who we would have taken? But it's more about the value of the late 1st and 2nd rounders. Those were Kenny trades though and worth regretting. Yzerman hasn't done anything like this yet.

I get it. You don't see the point. Fair enough. But you have to admit it's a pretty low-risk deal to make right? I wish Holland had been clairvoyant enough to trade Sproul, Kindl, Ouellet, Meech, etc when their value was higher. I've always thought that managing and being able to cull a prospect herd was an important skill for a GM to possess. It cost us Quincy, then Vasilevsky in the process of getting Quincy back. Better prospect management could have avoided that scenario.

Pronman gave Yzerman a B+ for this trade btw. Bowman got a B https://theathletic.com/1332172/2019/10/28/nhl-trade-grade-detroit-gets-brendan-perlini-from-chicago-for-alec-regula/ edit to add: said Regula becomes Chicago's 3rd best D prospect. Hahahah suck it Chicago!!!!

I mean this respectively. I suggest you spend some time working cognitively on your reaction to the next trade. There will be more. And methinks there will be great potential for you to experience further disappointment.

2019 Offseason Rebuild Thread, Pt. 2 - What's the Yzerplan?
The 91 of Ryans replied to Dabura's topic in General
First we lose Regula. Now we lose out on Josi. What a terrible 24 hours to be a Wings fan. -
It was just an example to illustrate that eventually someone we actually like on this roster is going to get shart-canned. Anyway, you get it. I wasn't directing my comments towards members like you.
-
I'm thinking some fans are really going to struggle with how painful this Yzerman rebuild really is going to be if they can't handle a "minor pieces" type trade like this one. Yzerman's going to clean ******* house. And not just in the "trade Helm, Neilsen, Howard, Daley, and Green for picks" sort of way. But also in the "I'm trading AA for a 2nd because he's a passenger" sort of way. Going to be wild.
-
Yeah. He better snap out of it before he ruins the season.
-
Another plug. I'd guess this move facilitates sending Svechnikov or Smith back to GRs for bigger minutes?
-
Cool. You guys have yourselves a good evening then.
-
Oh. You can only win cups?
-
Ur trolling too hard today my friend.

You must be bored

If Holland were still here this team would be equally as bad as it is now. Yzerman didn't sign Neilsen, Abdlekader, etc etc to these heinous deals. And Connor and Leon aren't exactly "a few good forwards". Hot take. RNH, the forgotten man, would be this team's second (maybe first?) best player. The Oiler's bones are way healthier than Detroit's. The same s*** Babcock has won? 2 Olympic gold medals. Goldcock has one cup as a coach. With two 80+point selke calibre forwards and a HOF Norris gobbling D man. Should have had at least two. Yzerman inherited two all stars. How many did Holland start with lol?
-
Yzerman's not a proven winner?

100% agree. The problem is, currently even Darren Helm has more trade value than AA. -
I just wanna say. Newfoundland and it's people are awesome. I was only teasing @krsmith17. Let's not take this too far.
-
Except their guitar player is actually called The Edge. He's from Newfoundland. He only like fiddles, two stringed guitars, and little drums made out of codfish and moose pelts.
