WCF: San Jose Sharks vs. St Louis Blues
The 91 of Ryans replied to Neomaxizoomdweebie's topic in General
True. But they missed an obvious DOG penalty for puck over glass earlier in the game on St Louis. Then the Blues went on a rampage and scored twice. The second biggest goal for the Sharks in these playoffs so far was Hertl's OT winner in Round 1. The Sharks were on the PK. No advantage on that one. Ultimately, for me, the question is: why has the officiating been so bad in these playoffs, in general? -
I just want a big ol' boat full of steelheads and marlin. Don't care how.

What about blowing a 3 - 1 series lead to the Hawks in 13? -

True. He was like Jake Gardiner out there for two goals. But it wasn't Stuart's fault that they blew 2-0 and 3-2 series leads and could only win one of the last five games of the series. Babcock got out-couched by a guy that is now Blashill's assistant. Let that sink in. -
You touched on a good point and one area where I'm more confident in Yzerman than Holland. His ability to GTFO prospects that aren't cutting it for whatever reason (see: Connoly, Drouin).

I was fishing for marlin

There's no basement. Just floor and ceiling. Even if everything goes wrong for Zadina, he'll still be as good as those two guys. People like to use a player's floor as a way to exercise their own mastery of hyperbole (not U specifically) Calling Zadina a "bust" for only being as good as Tatar and Nyquist. I've said it before, I get less hung up with where players are drafted vs their eventual floor/ceiling then most. When I go fishing I don't come home cursing about one spot where I caught nothing and raving about another spot where I caught a bunch of fish. I just look in my boat, and if I see fish, I'm happy.

You have just described his floor.

Then my work here is done

I think Cozens goes top 5. Dach doesn't seem like an Yzerman pick (but does sort of seem like a Wright pick). I think the four guys I listed > Krebs
-
Podkolzin Caufield Zegras Turcotte One of these four is getting drafted by Yzerman. I am as sure of this as I was back in March that the Wings would be picking 6th.
-
I mean, if you're drafting 6th you're probably waiting at least a year anyway for anyone.
-
I wouldn't put it past Jimmy D
-
Can you, at least, stop calling him Zagina ?
-
I'm asking you who you think the best prospect is between Zadina and QHughes. What's there to be coy about?
-
I know. Breitbart + Facebook got U yr POTUS
-
So who's the better prospect?
-
DeBrusk Calls Bergeron "Perfect Human" and my hatred of the Bruins grows. There's only one perfect human.
-
I think you mean Tippett, I mean Vilardi, I mean............

Hockey News latest issue has QHughes as a top three NHL affiliated prospect and Zadina at 7. (no link cuz they still want to sell paper) In his midseason rankings Pronman has QHughes at #1, Zadina at 4. Button's midseason rankings has QHughes at #8, Zadina at 17. I can't really find anyone who thinks, post-draft, that Zadina is a better prospect than QHughes. Just saying. All of this being said, the margin appears to be fairly slim, and there's a way to go yet for either guy. Like I said, I would have been happy with either pick.
