Not saying Lillygreen won't be dealt. Saying there's no effing way he can be acquired with Glendenning Daley Helm etc. Imagine if Detroit traded Veleno for Eric Fehr. Who here would be happy?
-
This ^ is a polite way of saying "GTFO with your ridiculous trade speculation nimrod"

Decent article with some direct Holland quotes and some other content obviously derived from Holland comments. https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/nhl/columnist/allen/2019/01/17/nhl-teams-bottoming-out-red-wings-rangers-flyers-kings/2591370002/ - great things said about Larkin - nice things said about Bertuzzi - obvious comments about Zadina and MacIssac - interesting singling out of Lindstrom as being part of future plans Side note: Lindstrom is currently a top-pairing defensman with Frolunda, averaging 18+ minutes a game, as a 20 year old. I feel like he goes mostly unnoticed around these parts.

Here lies Ken Holland: He was sucky and He was lucky

You don't think Holland can pull this off? To Toronto: Glendenning + Helm + Daley To Detroit: Marleau + Liligren + 1st Round Pick Come On!!!!!!!!!! I'd be happy with a 2nd for Nyquist. Especially if it's a playoff bubble team like the Oilers. Mid-2nd would be OK with me.

1/12 Guys Gone Wild Edition - Red Wings @ Wild - 8:00 PM ET

I've been saying this as well. If Larkin is a future 2C on this team, we're laughing. Hopefully Veleno fills the 3C spot and AA never has to ever play center again. -
Ah. 7. My bad. Still crazy.

Or drugs yes. Goaltending or drugs. One or the other
-
It's true. @Bill Berzeench should never have been allowed back on this site.
-
Except I 100% believe that you think Holland is not "listening to all inquiries and exploring all avenues". And I'm like "considering his last two deadlines (and first and only two as a real seller) what does this guy have to do to earn your trust?". Except I didn't say this because I chose to be unreasonable and irrational instead. When in Rome...........

We'll see just how good a GM Holland is at this trade deadline. If he can't acquire at least TWO 1st rounders and a bluechip defensive prospect, I'll consider his life's work to be a complete failure.
-
I normally share your caution with regards to prospect hype. But no recent defensive prospect has looked as good for this long as Chowlowski has. Also, the Wings are due for a little draft/development luck on the back end.
-
No problem DUDE BRAH! I also liked Bill's brevity. As in: it was the only redeeming quality of his posts. They were short. Made them less painful to read. Got it over with quicker. etc.
-
Penguins have 5+M in deadline cap space. But I don't see them wanting or needing either Howard or Daley.
-
Looking again at that Custance list: 2. Matt Duchene, Senators 4. Kevin Hayes, Rangers 6. Wayne Simmonds, Flyers 9. Jake Muzzin, Kings 10. Gustav Nyquist, Red Wings 14. Mats Zuccarello, Rangers 18. Trevor Daley, Red Wings Are the only players I think will be moved.

Since this thread is about Larkin, I'd like to continue to add to the AA discussion. One thing I like about the kid is he creates his own offense which means he can play wing on any line. You can put him with Helm and Glendenning and provided they get the ice time (which they will) AA will produce. It's beautiful.
-
Gets the puck to forwards. Helps them develop offensively. Worth having around.
-
As a specialty winger with explosive north-facing talent? You betcha. As a 2nd line center responsible for distributing the puck to two potential star wingers and looking after them defensively? That's a big F nope. Even Bill Berz wan't this dumb.
-
YES! Take two rookie blue chip wingers and pack them around this team's most one-dimensional forward who has proven to no one ever that he can be a good center in the NHL. Athanasiou will never be this team's 2nd line center. Not if they plan on contending.
-
I think if you can get a 1st from a desperate team later in the afternoon on the 25th you have to do it. I think if you're looking at a later than late 2nd? You may have made a good point if this is the scenario.
-
tweaked your post a bit
-
Look no further than Custance's comments on Nyquist there fellas. I think a mid-to-late 2nd rounder is all you're getting for the goose-man. I look forward to tantrums and epic tirades on Feb 25th, 3pm ET.
