NHL coaches do this all the time. Babcock used to do it in Detroit. It has nothing to do with conditioning.

Back in the late 80s there were expectations that the team was supposed to be getting better. Demers had more to work with. 1990 was a failure. So BAM! This team is supposed to be getting worse. And they are. You have to accept this and clearly you're not. I want Blashill gone too. Forget the wins/loses, this team plays with no structure and that should be something any good coach should be able to do with almost any team.
