True. But no different really than TB or any SC contender trading late 1st rounder to rent a guy like David Savard. Risky? Yes. For both sides. This is how a true offer sheet scenario should play out IMO.
-
Habs should have just drafted Zadina.......
-
It's only a one year deal. And Carolina have tons of cap space. And the draft pick compensation isn't that much really. They're having a laugh. And so am I.

1. Incredible 2. Fu k Marc Bergevan with a St Catherine's St dildo

Sorry to hear this. Glad you pulled through.

Time to pawn that oyster steel?
-
apparently so is stupid

Is popping boners for a guy who had big numbers in a high scoring Q league 3 seasons ago really any better?
-
A couple things would need to happen first. 1. Veleno would need to learn how to actually play center well in a professional league 2. Rasmussen would have to get hit by bus. It would need to be an extra large bus.
-
Seider is a puzzified v. of Johnny E. All joking aside, if Veleno can be a young Helm, that would be better than nothing.

Veleno: - struggles in AHL - struggles in SHL - generally unhindered development path - drafted 30OA in 2018 - slid outside the top 50 in redraft - gonna make Wings this fall Bergrren: - kills SHL - more bad luck as a prospect than Igor Grigorenko - drafted 33rd in 2018 - rises to 18th in redraft - not going to make the Wings this fall The only way you're right is if Veleno is the Wings 4C to start 21-22 because Yzerman sees him as a 4C.
-
Wheeler did a 2018 redraft today at The Athletic. Zadina dropped to 11th. Bergrren jumped into 18th from the second rd Veleno was nowhere to be found. Didn't even make the 20 guys listed as honorable mentions after going 30OA in the original draft. I think Wheeler made up for his shiddy prospect rankings with this list. Anyway, 3rd line winger or 4C (if he can get his 200ft game in order). That's yer guy. Glad he's bulking up for the role.
-
Nice to see he's embracing his role as future NHL 4th line grinder.

I always default to injuries. Stock the last couple forward spots with veterans or older prospects (Smith/Pearson). When the injuries pile up, Veleno, Bergrren, and Raymond are in GRs to fill in. Otherwise, the depth gets pretty thin.
-
Like Lefty said in the other thread. I can see Yzerman bringing in another veteran. Like this guy. ^ Honestly, I think there's very little chance Bergrren and/or Raymond start with the Wings. Same with Veleno. He'd have to steal at least a top 9 spot to justify not playing big minutes in GRs I think Pearson and Smith will duke it out for that last spot.

Thus ends the @mackel summer vacation from LGWs

Only if Rasmussen becomes a good 2nd line center. Big Ras > Little Joe
-
I wasn't being serious. Though you are a Veleno champ.
-
Cuz someone has to say it after you bullied KRSmith right outta town and also because Macarattack is off banging hookers?

NM

And the George goalie dude.

Penguins
-
Yeah. I was going to get into that too. And slot Pearson and maybe Ganger on that 4th line instead.
-
Fuking right Also, not to geek out, but imagine if Veleno. Bergrren and Raymond start in the AHL and are Detroit regulars by February. Vrana Larkin Zadina Bertuzzi Suter Raymond Bergrren - Rasmussen - Veleno Erne - Namestnikov - Fabbri sheeeeeeet

I too am optimistic. If Leddy and Tanguay can improve the PP then I think that alone gets you half a dozen more wins. Especially if the goaltending is as advertised.
