And guess who we'll be playing in Rd 1. In my mind Yguy has 2 logical choices. 1. Go big boi and address 1,2,3 above 2. If he can't swing that sheite he needs to fold up the beach chair and trade Perron, Ghostisbehere , Kane, and Sprong Not doing anything is unacceptable IMO -

The article YOU posted said Dubas would be looking at a deal similar to the (edit) Giroux trade which ended up being a 1st + Tippett (a former 1st round top 10 pick) Guentzel is younger and better now than Giroux was at the time.

For Guentzel? 1st + Kasper/Danielson/ASP is what Dubas will ask for. As much as I love the player, he's not worth that package to the Wings IMO

I could see that too. I'm saying cough up some picks for the right rental or two (or make a smart hockey trade for someone who will stick around a bit) and try and give the future high dollar core a couple of rounds of playoff hockey this spring. Then do what you were saying.
