Agreed. That was always goingvto be the case. My point was that people are getting wacky thinking the NHL with their "anti-Wing" bias are going to rake this team's nutsak all over the post-covid landscape and use this stoppage as an excuse to change the lottery and to screw the Wings. Ain't happening. -

There's no anti-Wing bias. The NHL can be dumb for money from time to time but this team clinched last place weeks ago. Repeat after me: the Red Wings will get their fair shake in the draft lottery -
Exactly. 34 goal season in his prime. Plenty of 20+ goal seasons. Comparable numbers fo Bert, Mantha, and Larkin. And it's a little lizard-brained to think that having a veteran like that didn't help the Blues. Also, I have no grand ideas. My two posts vs your 20 posts? Lol GFed.

I know most scouts think he can play center at the NHL level but until he actually does, there's some reason for doubt. If you're taking Lafreniere because he's the BPA then logically you have to take BPA whevere you pick. If Yzerman thinks Raymond is BPA, then he takes him. Also beyond Byfield there are no players in the top 5 that are surefire centers. Stutzle and Rossi both come with concerns about their ability to play center in the NHL. So based on this, we should take Drysdale 3rd overall for example?

I'll go out on a limb and say the issue is that, for whatever reason, you refuse to acknowledge how much the boy has sucked this season and the IRL Betas who act like LGWs Alphas see it as something they can expoit to get under your skin.

Yzerman's absolutely going to bring in at least one veteran D man this summer. And Mantha will sign for less than 6. I'd rather ditch Perlini and keep one of Erne or Ehn. Otherwise, I agree with you. @krsmith17
